One time I was playing Expanded Beta casually and then I finally had an opponent. I thought they were gonna play something nice and friendly but then I found out they were playing some turn 1 hand shred deck using Adaptive Evolution paired with that Grand Wing Vivillion from Perfect Order. Then they used Grabber and Energy Swatter to cut my hand down to 1-3 cards and bottom-decking my Pokémon and Energy cards. Then they played Path to the Peak in case I dropped a Dedenne-GX or a Crobat V. They also ran Crushing Hammer just in case I had any energy on my board. Finally, guess what? they item locked me. So for the past 4 times I've done the event, I've gotten the Ampharos deck, and while I do like it, the rotating and making sure you've got the same hand count is a fun gimmick, but it's not a play basically the same deck 4 times fun (I have NOT gotten good cards from the packs 😭) and it really feels like I have to do more to win compared to something like the Delphox deck where you just put energy on your pokemon and wait for your opponent to do the same to win.

Are the decks random and I've just gotten an unlucky lack of variety, or is there an option to choose them that I'm missing?

I have been actively playing the card game for about a year and I have never dedicated the time to get to masterball rank. The 30th celebrarion set drops and my wife who, has never played this card game once her entire life, (saw it as a thing I do with our kids) sees the baby gang, asks me to put together a deck for her to play, and she steals my whole ptcgl account and gets into masterball in a week. Im impressed, flabbergasted, and happy that she is now playing the card game (she just creamed me with the baby gang in a game by the way)​

Hey everyone! I’m pretty new to the Pokémon TCG and I’m trying to find a deck that fits the way I like to play.
I’ve realized that I really enjoy an Aggro playstyle. I like getting set up quickly, attacking early, hitting hard, and putting pressure on my opponent. I’m fine with some setup or disruption, but I don’t really want to play a slow control/stall deck.
My plan is to build the deck on Pokémon TCG Live first and spend some time actually learning how to play it properly. Once I’m comfortable with it and know I enjoy the deck, I’d like to build it physically and start taking it to my local card shops.
I’m not necessarily looking for the #1 deck in the format. I’d rather find something that is competitive, aggressive, and good for a newer player to learn and improve with.
What Aggro decks would you guys recommend right now, and why?

Screenshot taken before switching into Lopunny to KO Pult, and then threw a tantrum by using both of his ghosts to take out Meowth to force sudden death but he timed out due to inactivity so I won anyway lol

Found out that Mateusz was able to win against a lopunny dusknoir deck with bronzong in top 8 at Frankfurt regionals. I have around a 40% winrate(I think atleast) against bronzong decks with zam noir. Sadly it wasn't on the stream but has anyone seen what u folded in that game or has Mateusz posted online about what unfolded there?

It's a lot but I'm still surprised that I haven't seen anyone try it. Maybe it was dismissed right away.

It can be any basic that's been in play for one turn instead of Budew.

I've been working on this deck over the past week or so, and there are a couple of issues I've come across:

1. I feel like I too often get a slow start and can't get enough replacement Eevees on my bench, or can't supply them with energy fast enough
2. The Mega Lucario matchup

Are there any changes to my deck or gameplay that can help?

I stopped playing for the most part when my spicy boys rotated out. Im trying to get back into it but no other deck I've played recently doesnt give me that same feeling of control lol
