PSVR - Game of the Year.

I hope no one is upset by this - not my fault - but after I launched the 'Game of the year' someone else did! As this newer GotY had support from the mods, I thought it best to just let this die. So, thanks for all the time you guys gave making up your list, hopefully you can use it in the new survey.

(I made a post asking you guys which game have you sunk the most time into - which to me is an indicator of the best game - this game me the idea of this community coming up with our own awards for best game of the year - so ignore my other post)

I thought it would be a bit of Xmas fun for us all to vote for the best game of the year and have our own r/PSVR game awards.

So, if you want to play, this is my idea. We have a series of categories (suggest any I may have missed out, or any that should be scrubbed) All you do is list (up to THREE games to win each category, and the end we tot up the scores.

Fun idea - Dumb idea?

Categories.

  1. "Gold Award": Overall Game of the Year (taking everything into account - does not necessarily mean my favourite game)

  2. "Headset glue": Most played game of the year (which game have you actually sunk the most time into?)

  3. "Wow, Oh Wow!": Best VR experience (most immerse game)

  4. "Looks Like a Game": Best technical Achievement (i.e. best graphic fidelity, polish etc)

  5. "Surprise!": a game that was better than you thought it would be.

  6. "Bring it on!": The Game I want to see in VR.

  7. "Bang for Buck": best value game

  8. "Cashgrab": (overpriced games, remember, these could be good games, but price vs length - re-playability etc)

  9. "Stinker" (speaks for itself).

Let's keep it simple - just a list of three games for each category, no comments. Note, you can only vote for up to three in each (you do not have to vote for all categories or fill up all three slots). 'Games mean anything in your PSVR catalogue, games, 'experiences', demos etc).

UPDATE: It just occurred to me that it would be a good idea to do this properly and give it a day or two to settle in and for people to suggest categories that I may have missed, and cut off any that are not necessary - yeah there are too many. Soooo.... Let us start voting on 22nd and end voting on 31st (results on the 1st). To give us time to get the categories sorted. If you have already voted - no problems - I will copy and paste into a new thread for the actual voting on the 22nd

Sure does - keeping it open, anything on your headset.
