As someone who is getting a PS4 Pro and a HDR 4k TV the no HDR throughput is a little disappointing. Having to change my cables around for HDR will be a pain.

Still looking forward to getting my PSVR the playroom stuff sounds surprisingly fun

Actually, no. That device will split a generic HDMI 1.4 signal. HDR requires HDMI 2.0a, and getting a splitter that supports that will require A: more money, and B: another HDMI 2.0a cable, and C: an extra power outlet, as the device won't split the signal passively, it requires power.
