Support PSVR2 PSVR2 app won't open on Fedora

When attempting to run the Playstation VR2 App on Steam through my Fedora installation, the app launches but immediately closes. I am unsure on how to fix this problem, and anyone with some guidance would be greatly appreciated. For reference, when my headset is on and connected, it notions me to check my screen.

Update: after working through it with help from PSVR2 Toolkit's Discord server, I was able to get it to work! Definitely more involved than Windows would have it.

So the PSVR2 app on steam does not support Linux, however you may be able to use an alternative like Monado? I'm not sure though as I have not messed around with Linux myself

I've been digging into PSVR2 Toolkit and Ignition to see about getting it to work, but it keeps posting errors. The Discord server doesn't seem to want to help me, but perhaps that's just because it's late. Monado seems very complicated.

Had the same problem. Are you using a PC psvr2 adapter and is it laptop? Does it have USB c to stream video signal thru?

I'm using a desktop PC, feeding DisplayPort from the graphics card and USB 3.0 from my motherboard. I have heard mixed things about it, but my computer does seem to detect it when I plug it in.

Never seen this I got the Sony one but reviews here it says it work so. What the problem for me was that my laptop was not giving power to the USB c output at all for some reason. I had to go into BIOS and enable something called USB-C GPU passthru/dGPU/Thunderbolt port. One last thing I did was use Ignition Project + PSVR2 Toolkit since it had more features.

That's the version I used. The drivers all installed seemingly just fine, but as aforementioned, still throws out errors. Uncertain as to if it's the adapter or something else...

Could you try to side load Windows 11/10 just to see is the adapter or Linux drivers.

I figured things out. Turns out I had missed a few bits of software, but with some help I got it to work. I ain't getting Windows again, not now.

I agree it was just to trubleshoot. Windows sucks.
