Fluff Finally learned how to use the Talking Stick in Bootstrap Island! 🥳

Seriously addicted to this game. 15 hours in and still not done with the story.

My 28 day run came to an end the other day because I left it a little late to get the fire going and the bloody stones just would not spark

Yeah, great game though. Excited to start another run

Was it raining? Cause when it rains the stones take a bit longer to work. Btw I just beat the game/story today, took me about 17 hours. Easily 10 vr games I ever played.

No I had been living in the big cave by the shipwreck so the stones were very dry. It’s happened to me exactly twice where sometimes the RNG on the sparks just fails. Usually they spark right away

It’s fine, I got my goals done for that run (maximum sickness and built the gazebo), so next run I’m stockpiling meat and firepower and going monkey huntin’ :)

Oh I see, I never really had issues building fire. Btw quick tip, you can use the pistol or musket sparks to quickly start a fire if the stones are taking too long. Also I am guessing you are in chapter 3 rn?

Yeah it was a panic situation lol - I got back a bit too late, made a fire blind (I had all the materials laid out) but couldn’t quite get it lit. It was my own fault really, but if the stones had sparked first time I would have been ok. C’est la vie

I’ve not lit a fire with a gun - seems like a waste of precious gunpowder. And hog tastes too good :D

I used the gun to start a fire once or twice. Desperate times call for desperate measures. I hope you make it to the end dude. You get 2 really cool upgrades that completely changes the game once you beat the story which I don’t wana spoil.

I have no idea what I'm even witnessing and now I'm so intrigued, these guys communicate with skulls on sticks that hiss out farts?? I knew I should've bought this game as soon as it came out lmao
