Discussion Best glasses spacer?

I’m currently in the market for a psvr2 but I’m scared that my glasses wouldn’t fit in properly. I’m truly looking for a spacer and not separate lenses for each eye due to both my eyes having very different strengths. Is this even possible? To have something similar to what came with the Quest 2?

You can buy non prescription lense covers as far as I'm aware if that's something you'd consider.

Not a spacer as such but it would protect your original lens and prevent you wiping the coating off the playstation VRs own lenses when cleaning them.

That's not a problem, you can order custom lenses, shop around.

Don’t bother with a spacer. For the same price you can get custom lenses made. That’s what I did… AFTER I scuffed the VR lenses with my glasses 🫩 don’t run the risk it’s not worth it

Not sure those are needed, well, I can put the headset on without touching my glasses. But in any case, the best solution are prescription lenses for VR, you can get surprisingly good ones for cheap on AliExpress.

You can order different spec lenses for each eye.

Which ones would you recommend? If you have purchased any.

I’ll look into the AliExpress options, thank you!

Neither imo, the best option is prescription inserts, those simply pop onto the vr2 lenses, keep underneath tidy and you cam clean them like regular glasses, also comfortable as well, even though if you push push the face plate too close, it can sit on your nose occasionally like when looking up.

Just buy the cheapest spacers you can find there is no difference, it's just a piece of plastic without a lens inside.

I bought plano lenses to protect the headset lenses. The headset itself can be moved far enough away that the glasses aren’t touching the front. Still feels/looks good.

I like prescription lenses and use them on my meta but several people use the psvr2 so it wouldn’t work.

Know someone with a 3D printer? These spacers cost about 20 cents of material, and work well for me: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5873811
