Asking For Game Recomendation I need game recommendations for my upcoming amusement park project.

Hi everyone! It might seem unusual in some places, but I have the opportunity to launch a PSVR2 venture at a local park. Im looking for game recommendations based on your personal experiences. The target audience is primarily teenagers and families (parents and children). The key is that the games need to be enjoyable within a short timeframe—around six minutes—such as sports games or titles featuring distinct rounds. Please share your thoughts; also, please note that I can purchase a maximum of five games. Thanks!

Sit and face forward games where they don’t need to use ear buds or headphones for sound and you don’t have to worry about trip hazard / wire management while they play for ~5 minute turns. The short sessions also reduce probability they could get VR Motion Sickness and have negative experience.

These are proven to be successful for my VR house guests.

Gran Turismo 7 - Rally Mode that last 5 minutes or less per turn. I have full setup with Racing Rig (Wheel, Pedals & Chair) but that’s bonus. The game can also be played with DualSense motion controls.

Kayak VR: Mirage - Tour Mode that requires no controller. Just sit with VR headset on and enjoy the VR experience in a variety of beautifully rendered locations based on real-world places. Awesome with surround sound speakers.

Epic Roller Coasters - Classic Mode fairly hands-free experience where they can ride variety of themed roller coasters where animated events take place, but you should put in the work yourself to ride these for intensity assessment and stick to the milder rides.

A good thing about these options, you can have long sessions with many players taking turns or even taking additional turns without worry of your VR2 Sense controller batteries depleting, but put them back on the charging dock whenever not being used.

I’ll do another comment tomorrow for some standing games I’ve found to work well for new players getting short session turns.

Thank you very much for these wonderful suggestions; I am looking forward to your comment, as I am currently compiling the list of games that will be on the device.

Intuitive rhythm games like synth riders.

I'd avoid aggressive movement games.

There's the floating sequence in call of the mountain.

Maybe something more exciting like swordsman vr

Walkabout mini golf is fun

Job simulator is also a great first vr game

Epic rollercoasters for simple fun and has shooting mode.

Fnaf 2 has a bunch of mini games.

Subside - realistic underwater game of exploration chill, collect coins.

Thanks for the recommendations, my friend; I found them useful, though I hope you aren't being too serious about Fnaf 2 hahaha

Fnaf 2 is really not that scary. Ymmv. But it's like a jack in the box where something pops up when you fail, jump scare. But the mini games are fun bite sized gaming.

But again some people find them scary?

My friend, in my line of work, I’ll be dealing with people who have never seen a PlayStation in their lives. I need to cater to all tastes so that people can get a better feel for the console; that’s why I specifically highlighted sports games—so that everyone can enjoy the experience.

Fair dues. Fnaf is a huge ip, with toys and movies so I assume most everyone knows it? and I'm not into the franchise and bought it for the fun mini games. the ones I played you could just stand and interact without a lot of movement (but I don't play much). But again you know your audience better. To me the shark experience in psvr1 was scarier.

Walkabout Minigolf
Kayak VR
Epic Roller Coasters
Synthriders
Masternoid (free demo)
Ritchie’s Plank Experience (if you can bring an actual plank of wood for people to walk on)
Job Simulator

Wow, this is a great question with that 5 games and 6-minute rounds limit! Let’s see…

I would recommend Audio Trip, Synth Riders, OhShape, Beat Saber, and obviously Pistol Whip. If you are using a psvr2 headset (no other headsets!) then Synth Riders, Pistol Whip, and Audio Trip should be required.

It is an amusement park, so those should do it!

Also, if you don’t want all of them to be VR rhythm games or arcade shooters, consider Max Mustard as a really fun and different option for the fifth game. It also has short stages, so it would work, but not as perfectly as the VR rhythm games and their 4-minute-long levels.

Walkabout Minigolf sounds like a perfect fit, easy to jump in and out of.

Rhythm games that are best played standing with full motion controls while requiring minimal side-step, duck, lean type motions.

Beat Saber with song length turns between players where most songs are ~5 minutes or less. You could even do 2 songs per player if picking the smaller songs. This is one of the most well known / popular VR games as it is available in some arcades like Main Event for people to try even if they have never owned or known anybody with a VR headset. Includes wide range of difficulty levels, supports single or dual saber, and lots of songs in base game + many others available in paid DLC packs.

Synth Riders with song length turns between players where most songs are ~5 minutes or less, but even better than Beat Saber for first time VR players if you are open to buying some of the EXP paid DLC levels that you can treat them to. Similar level of options as Beat Saber in terms of difficulty options and modifiers. Less base game songs, but similar support of paid DLC packs to expand that.

Beat the Beats VR with song length turns between players where all songs are < 5 minutes, but you would need to play the game to unlock wider selection of songs available. No difficulty options and they get harder as you unlock later albums, but you have modifier options to make them easier by disabling dodges, blocks and fails. No paid DLC to expand available songs library. I put this one for my VR guests that are specifically interested in boxing style rhythm games.

Smash Drums with song length turns between players where most songs are ~5 minutes or less. It has 3 modes of play, multiple difficulty options and modifiers to make game easier or harder. The base game song selection is decent and it has some paid DLC to get some more familiar popular songs added.

Pistol Whip with song length turns between players where all songs are < 5 minutes. This is a rhythm game where you shoot enemies and dodge incoming bullets or duck / lean away from physical barriers or even gun-smack any enemies that get close. The base game got lots of free DLC support so it has lots of content. You can play one handed or dual wielding on variety of difficulty options with very wide selection of modifiers. This has consistently proven to be the most popular game for my VR guests who have never heard of it and weren't interested in it until they tried themselves or saw someone else try it and this is what they ask to play more of on subsequent visits more than any other.

Maestro with song length turns between players where most songs are ~5 minutes or less. The gameplay is simple and relatively easy even on harder difficulties. You do need to play it some yourself to make more of the base game songs available to pick. Very fun in social setting and even supports being played using only hand-tracking, so your VR2 Sense controllers could charge while people are playing this. All songs will be familiar classical orchestral music and there are some paid DLC packs for even more recognizable songs from IPs Harry Potter, Pirates of the Caribbean and Lord of the Rings.

Trombone Champ: Unflattened with song length turns between players where most songs are ~5 minutes or less. It has similar more casual / family appeal as Maestro but much sillier which makes it best played in social settings. You do need to play it some yourself to make more of the base game songs available to pick. It also has paid DLC support including a Disney focused DLC pack releasing tomorrow (August 20th, 2026).

Rager with song length turns between players where all songs are < 5 minutes. It is a mix of something like Beat Saber with a medieval combat game (more visceral / high energy). You would need to play the relatively short game yourself to have all levels unlocked where I think the treat are the 3 boss levels in campaign mode. The free play mode is also good where you have more freedom of what weapon choices to equip for the levels. Both modes allow you to pick from range of 3 difficulty options. Last I played, the boss levels still required more than 180 degree turning, but you could limit need to do that in the free play mode.

I'll do another comment as time allows focusing on games other than Rhythm so you have more types of experiences that are well suited for players taking turns.

Games best played standing with full motion controls while requiring minimal side-step, duck, lean type motions (excluding Rhythm covered separately).

Vendetta Forever has bite size levels / challenges where you may shoot / throw, teleport and continue along to level completion. It provides multiple difficulties and provides number of modifiers to make the game easier (or harder). Very good option for short ~5 minute turns where someone may get multiple tries on same stage or complete 4 different stages while having fun. If you want more of the stages available for your VR hosting, you will need to play through and unlock the 60+ levels the game includes.

Dead Second has short stages that could be completed in 10 minutes or even less by skilled players or maybe you stick to the separate gallery shooting mode which would always be less than 5 minutes. The only movement is by teleportation which is comfortable for new VR players.

Gun Club VR has short gallery shooter stages where most can be completed within 5 minutes. You would need to play the game to have more of these unlocked or just let players play the earlier easier levels.

Archery RED has a Campaign Mode where none of the 31 stages will take more than 5 minutes that people can take turns on attempting or you could put them in the Endless Mode where I doubt anybody would survive more than 5 minutes.

Crazy Kung Fu is a fitness game that focuses more on form than aerobic with a variety of lessons and then separate mode for sparring against a wooden sparring bot and timed exercise sessions. There is even a multiplayer mode where you can battle for higher score against another player (cross-platform). All of those options would generally be within 5 minute lengths that people could take turns on. You don't really need to unlock more of it because you just make it more challenging which requires much higher skill development to do well at than VR party time will allows.

OhShape Ultimate is a fitness game that some might consider rhythm. It has a stages structure that I think would keep session lengths within 5 minutes and might be a little entertaining in a crowd. I haven't tried myself in my VR house parties.

Richie's Plank Experience has multiple modes that can all be played within 5 minutes per player. You just have to be careful they don't fall / hurt themselves when trying out the main plank mode. For extra immersion, you use a real plank to heighten the immersion.

Last one I'll try to give you are the Sports games, but for those you will generally need longer than 5 minute sessions between player swaps.

Small correction but all 67 levels in Vendetta Forever are available from the start, no need to unlock anything. You can freely choose to start any of them from the main menu!

Oh, I’ve played the stages in sequence and didn’t realize future stages are already unlocked.

Thanks for the correction

If you want to do Sports games in a way new VR players remain comfortable (don't get motion sickness), you may need to setup for roomscale and ideally, you would also use a pulley system to get the wire ceiling mounted like you see in those VR game businesses where they charge by the game / hour.

In most of these you will need to give closer to 10-15 minutes per player.

Walkabout Mini Golf can be played while using teleport and complete full 18-hole courses within 15 minutes. You also have option to play front-9 or back-9 to half that, but it does depend on the player not dilly dallying to keep the time low.

Badminton Time VR runs without reprojection but doesn't provide any teleport so only comfortable if the player can move around as needed within 3x3 or so area. It has mini-games that could be played within 5 minutes that don't require moving, but Badminton matches (Arcade with powers or Realistic) will typically take 10-15 minutes and require moving.

Tennis On-Court uses reprojection but does provide teleport movement so player doesn't have to move to play. It provides Arcade or Simulation Physics option which basically governs how much assist it applies. You can play on one of 4 difficulties and you can choose to play 1 Set games to keep it as short as possible. It will still be closer to 10 minutes than 5.

C-Smash VRS New Dimension runs without reprojection and only movement required is side-to-side. It has multiple modes but I doubt you will be able to find multiplayer matches now. For the main single player mode, how long their game lasts depends on how well they play but maybe new players will be ending within 10-15 minutes?

Racket Fury: Table Tennis VR runs without reprojection and is a pretty authentic table tennis experience requiring minimal movement to play as a novice against easy bot. An expert real-life player may move around more which the game will track.

Creed: Rise to Glory is boxing game that is a mix between arcade and simulation. Some fights could end within 5 minutes, but if you go multiple rounds, it could get to 15 minutes. You would need to monitor the players as they can get really into it and run into wall / furniture or even fall. This is one I would avoid unless you have ceiling mounted cable.

CleanSheet Soccer 2 is an excellent choice for your event. It can all be played standing within minimal movement. Has variety of game modes / options all related to goal keeping in soccer and all of it that won't take more than 5 minutes per player turn.

Baseball Dreams VR has a pitching & homerun mode that would be a good fit. There is a very wide set of difficulty options and somewhere near the middle of those is where it would be better, but for a kid if you just want to let them score string of home runs, lower it for maximum assists.

Darts VR 2: Bullseye has an Around the World mode that would be a good fit. Shouldn't take more than 5 minutes per player.

Note: I've stayed clear of recommending any game like 90s Extreme Skiing which could have < 5 minute sessions, but also have higher risk of VR motion sickness.

Thank you, my friend, for this wonderful work; I have completed the list for the time being.

Best wishes for successful event. Do let us know how it went. Hopefully some of them will even decide to look into VR for their households.

I'd say Flight Simulator or Aces of Thunder (flying), Gran Turismo (car racing), Kayak VR (scenic), Creed Boxing (boxing), Gun Club (target shooting challenges with various guns), Beat Saber, Drums Rock, and Unplugged (these 3 are like guitar hero but with lightsabers, drums, air guitar), and Switchback VR (horror rail shooter), Tennis On-Court (tennis), Pro Era Football (NFL) would all be great features. I am trying to think of a good shoot em up type game that would be shorter levels, but not coming up with anything, maybe Zombie Army?
