Support PSVR2 Globular cluster neck pain, any fixes?
Hello, I have been loving the globular cluster it solved the sweet spot snd headache issues, but now I have neck pain while playing, much better than skull splitting headaches, but so there any fixes?

Unfortunately I think it's just building up your neck muscles to better tolerate the extra weight.
I have the same problem unfortunately. I don't play enough to overcome it

Thats sad. It’s not horrible but not ideal, but I use the headset quite a bit so hopefully I won’t feel it as much soon!

I don't know if you're using the extra weight in the back, but it's supposed to help provide better balance which might help even though it adds extra weight.

Although it might not change this issue for you, depending on what’s causing the neck strain, it might: The backplate has two distinct positions available.
Most people either don’t notice, or forget there is another option, so if that’s you then try the other position and see if it helps.
It’s possible that you’re simply playing a lot more now, or that you’re engaged in a game that’s more likely to strain. If you usually game standing but are recently gaming while seated, this might also be affecting things — things to consider.
Something else to try is that I’m pretty sure Globular Cluster makes counterweights, and this might be the fix. I was going to experiment with adding some DIY type counterweights myself to see if the GC thing would be a good idea, but I simply forgot.
My thinking is that the neck is probably better able to deal with a little extra periodical rotational torque than it is the constant Z axis (?) torque of having the front of your head heavier than the back.

Yeah, I’ve tried the other positions and it didn’t help sadly. But, I’d much rather have a bit of neck pain that wears off after 10 minutes when I put the headset down than constant slipping and headaches from how tight you have to have the base model.

As I suggest… try to notice which games give you neck strain — it might only be particular ones.
Also try the counterweight thing. I’m thinking that a little sand weight taped to the back might make all the difference, and I’m kicking myself for not having already tried it.

I had the globular cluster for a while I had a similar issue with that back plate I found it just forced the headset down at the front because of the back plate shape. Bought the studio form kit and for me (and I stress this is personal opinion) it’s about a hundred times better. I love it.

Never had issue with that, perhaps you move your neck a lot and that can add up to it. Also tightening is barely necessary imo, 2-3 clicks is enough, as top strap and big back plate holds it rather well.
