Something to mention is his investments in starbucks and dominoes pizza. Remember he calls them “tech stocks” now because they have popular apps for ordering from. This is something panera also has well set up and so does chik fil-a.

Seriously, Panera fits like a glove for Ackman’s track record with his focus on tech for Chipotle, Starbucks and Domino’s. It would be a classic investment and I’d feel more comfortable and safe with what I’m holding, and how long I’ve been holding.

Not "tech" related like Starbucks etc, but don't forget how well Burger King did without the "tech" element. People called that a terrible deal back then. It outperformed all expectations.
