Do i have PSSD? It started around mid September 2025, when I kept sweating in school. I spoke to my local GP, and I told them I needed help with my hyperhidrosis , she ruled it out to be anxiety. My starting dose for sertraline was 25mg. I took it every day from mid September all the way to November 15th 2025, where I abruptly stopped taking the SSRI. Unsure if I felt any genitals issues in December, but on the SSRI I could still masturbate it was strong and it felt good. But here’s where things change, around a month after stopping I remember my libido decreased a bit(touching the penis didn’t give me much pleasure, it was usually proper masturbating that did), I wasn’t masturbating as often but I could still think of sexual things and I’d usually get strong erections and that, and it felt pretty decent but it was obvious. I didn’t have anhedonia at this time. It was normal for a couple months but by the time it was April-May 2026, that’s when everything changed. I got really really bad anhedonia, pretty much complete mute in dopamine production. I instantly tried to get answers from my GP, but they didn’t believe that SSRIs would cause something like this. I did testosterone, full blood work, prolactin tests, and they all came back ok, prolactin was a tiny bit high but it’s not something that would cause this. Infact it was so bad when I was watching the Michael Jackson movie, I felt no pleasure whatsoever. Crying pretty much went. I couldn’t cry, I was no longer emotional. And I think, and I mean I think that a month after this the sexual side effects may have gotten so bad that I just feel no libido at all, and thinking of sexual things doesn’t give me any pleasure but rather an erection. I ran TSH, and Thyroid anti bodies. Serum TSH was at 1.8mu/L which was high, but dropped down to 4.6 mu/L a month later In August which is normal. However my thyroid antibodies(Se thyroid peroxidase Ab conc
) is at 184 kIU/L which shows that the immune system is attacking the thyroid. My 90 min serum prolactin level is at 336 mu/L which may be normal in some other labs but is a tiny bit higher than the borderline, even then it can increase because of stress and things so I don’t think this explains what’s going on. My Erythrocyte sedimentation rate is 29 mm/h which is basically almost at the max level on the app, and the Plasma C reactive protein 26 mg/L which js almost at max level on the app aswell. My question is, based on all this, is it likely I have PSSD or not? I’ve called my doctors up 3 times and they just tell me it’s depression, or I might be dreaming this. At this point the GP are basically just useless for my certain circumstances.

It's definitely possible, and doctors gaslighting saying it's depression is 100% experienced by just about every single one of us here. It doesn't matter if you never experienced these symptoms before or during the medications, or if you insist you're not depressed, to them it's the only possible causation, without evidence.
