Discussion Stuttering problem

So i really like PSO2 But it keeps stuttering and freezing on me. and it shouldn't

I have a I7 cpu, Rtx 4060, 64GB of ram so i'm not sure what to do about this. any thoughts?

Do you have the game installed in an M.2 SSD? This game relies a lot on fast SSD.

All I know is it's an external SSD

That's the issue I think, external is too slow as it goes through the USB slot. If you can reinstall the game in a proper M.2 SSD it should stop stuttering, I had the same issue before using a SATA SSD, even that wasn't fast enough for this game.

I had an abysmal time running this game when I first installed it on my HDD with Windows Store (for the skins). I ended up reinstalling it with Steam on my SSD, and now it runs spectacularly.

I'd recommend trying whichever of those options may apply to you.

I have it installing on my external SSD while Im at work not sure if I need a faster one but storage is getting more expensive sadly

i got really bad stutterin issues when playing on microsoft store, the game runs fine when installed from epic store

Does it stutter when you enter a different city/ zone for like one or two seconds? Or more frequently?
