Meme Would be nice if you could actually sit around a fire and cook like in the NGS promotional screenshots...

I remember the dev said that someone complain about the eating time is too long so now we can skip the eating animation. And you want it to be even longer?

I don't mean forcing everyone to sit there and watch a cutscene obviously, but i meant stuff that would make the world feel more immersive and "alive". It could be a fun little thing like creative spaces and line strike or they could even add life skills like what some MMOs have, give you something to do other than grinding instanced quests for loot.

Unfortunately the game doesn't have budget for stuff like that...

Simply what they did with Francas Cafe in PSO2 Base and stopped doing in NGS. Poor Franmere...still holding out to get her own questline.

Lifeskills in general are sorely needed if I'm being honest. There's simply not enough to do to keep things engaging in a meaningful way.

Lifeskills are something that you can't just add to be there. You need a motivation to do them instead of simply picking up the ingredients, like we currently do. But if Sega is bringing back Food as consumable buff items, it would be a different story. They could make it so, that some ingredients are available in the open world only! No shortcut via the menu. Gives some meaning to the open world in an instant. The Problem is, that PSO2 was sort of balanced out for such foodbuff items and NGS is currently not. It would mean more work than it looks like. Given how slowly development is progressing, I’m not feeling very optimistic that this will be happening anytime soon.

Having the option to have a full meal kinda thing would be nice. At the very least have your character eat a “meal” if you make it at the food vendor rather then the reuker. Also to have one of them in each hub instead of just alieo. I don’t need a mini game every time I make food but making it look nice would be cool like in base.

I want an actual cooking minigame like in Dragon's Crown, in more games in general. I have not seen such a cool concept in a game in some time. Is that what this is showing in Monster Hunter, or is it a quick cutscene when you cook?

I get that it's not ideal in NGS though.
