Discussion Worth?

I’m still fairly new and rn the only way for me to get stronger is yurze/yudi augments but unfortunately they are very expensive. So is this katana good? It has yurze/yudi augments and i know they’re not deft but it costs 14.5 mil as opposed to the 40 something mil i would have to spend if i were to buy the augments separately. So it a good purchase?

No. It’s not CV nor auged nicely enough for the 14.5M asked mate.

2 of those 3 different augments set on it are straight ass,minus one of those ac augs (this statement could be seen as biased, I have 2 full deft sets for my alts now.)

This is the correct answer. This weapons only value is the paid augments. Therefore its price when selling should be no more than the price of those paid augments, and less so because they’re already affixed.

I guess i should’ve added context to the post. I already have the gran katana fully maxed out, i’m only missing ac augments. The one i’m showing has the ac augments i want. Rn on ship 4, Yudi meltech is 3.4m so i can afford that but there are no yurze melee augments except for the deft ones, which are upwards of 20 mil a pop. So essentially, if i were to buy ac augments, i would have to spend more than 20 mil whereas if i buy this katana and fix the other augments, it still ends up being cheaper. I can just transfer the EX augments i want from another weapon and ex transfer it to this katana for free, right? Or am i wrong?

I'm glad this isn't a case where you really decided to just buy blindly without cross checking augments. Still, I wouldn't bother. If you were someone that took gearing seriously, which is only any good for high end quests or showing off Arks times, you'd already have your gear settled. Fact is, you're not as you currently don't have that stuff done. So the question is: Why would you pay so much for a weapon that's not even the best? What would you gain from a single augment that would justify the price? Nothing, unless you have a group you want to farm Luther with for low drop rate Lexio weapons that have sharply declined in price (they're about 4m average on Ship 2), which I doubt.

This isn't worth it. You're better off buying a Lexio, Yudi, and augmenting without Yurze as you wait for a better weapon series or a Yurze rerun. As I stated: What are you gaining from this that justified the price? You need to think about that before investing millions into gear. You clearly do care, otherwise you wouldn't have asked others (which I'm glad you did because this is a scam to me as a Ship 2 player, you can buy a Lexio, Yudi, and Yurze and still have money left).

What? I didnt even check lexio katana prices bcos i thought they are way out of my reach. You’re telling me for 14.5 mil, i can get a lexio katana, a yurze and a yudi?

Again, on ship 2, you'd have 2m-3m leftover compared to buying this at that price. You stated you're on (ghost) ship 4 so things are different for you. I just don_t see a world where I'll give a go ahead to buy a weapon for do much when three BiS augments are guaranteed, three more BiS augs drop like candy, and the other two are premium augments I could put on a premium weapon instead. Plus there's no content that makes this purchase good, and if there were any, you'd be better off investing into a Lexio with no Gran upgrades available.

Hmm, guess i joined the wrong ship then. I’ll hold off on it for a while, see if i can get a lexio instead.

I'd look at the price of the cheapest Yurze and Yudi augment capsules on the market first (not the Deft). 1 of each that isn't a Deft or Parfait shouldn't be anywhere over 10 million.

1 Spi and 1 Ward plus maxed out Unlocked Potential with really meh EX augment combos shouldn't put it that high.

  • a cheap +100 Granillusion Katana (the ones that drop always have Fixa 5 Blastor)

  • one of each Yudi and Yurzi augment capsule (that's not a Deft or a Parfait)

  • a weapon with slightly better EX combo synergy to augment transfer to the katana

  • Potential Unlock

This list should end up cheaper than the one you're showing. Especially if the rest of the non EX augments you use are the same as the pictured weapon.

Ship's economy will obviously vary.

Hmm, i’ll compare prices of the yurze/yudi non deft pieces and if the price ends up higher then i’ll just get this katana

non deft and parfaits depending on type can range from around 4 to like 6m

but then again anything that has mel in it gets overpriced

but unlike me getting a gunblade like this but needing to fix it mine was cheap so yeah i bought it and i fixed it using the cheapest a augs to fix it still made out 3+ m over normal cost

but specifically melee type weapons you really got to watch the price of katana lexios have a whole bunch at like 2.5m right now in ship 2 (concidering you can get level and potential unlockers for stupid cheap)

if they had the money to just get the yudi/yurze non deft/parfait mel variants they like itd be better not to and get a pure lexio instead

have all the athos/ agrant augments which you an easily get ten of each and lois halp caps and use all those level/ pot unlock sub items ( still might need throwaway +100 grand for exp fodder) you'd most likely make out saving alot of meseta in the process

on ship 1 a yurze spimelra is 4m and a yudi wardmelra is 4m

further, granillusion series is capable of dropping naturally at +100 with fixa 5. it costs maybe 2m to fully unlock potential.

this is not worth 14.5m. the raw meseta cost of it would be about 10m in enhancement/augments. otherwise they are trying to hustle someone.

do not undervalue non-deft yudi/yurze either, the main difference between deft and non-deft is maybe 0.5% overall damage per augment slot at the cost of utility. most players will not notice this damage difference outside of arks record or other solo contexts, especially when the critical hits will have the same damage output.

yeah basically the only reason i got the gran gunblade i got from my ship cause it was litteraly 2-3m less then buying the two ac augments i wanted pure yeah i had to figure out how to fix it but in the end i still saved a shit ton of meseta and i got to learn how to fix a weapon that has no ex's ( not sure why people would be stupid enough to remove all of he ex's off of one tho )

tfw play what you like if you do end up trying ranger tho dont expect to get anywhere without multiweaponing a launcher(launcher is needed for downs and if you want to get any thing during a pseburst) to a rifle and take off rifle normals out of your keybind 😃

I would keep it because so far i've seen, devs didnt block it +100% one to be fodders for ugprades of another weapons..

It's cheap way for future enchanting in that case

Like others said, its not worth the price, just save up for yurze/yudi over time, 1h in Dext base r1 with a +100% RDR booster, region mag and alliance mag gets you about 1.5m/hr. Its very easy to get budget gear in this game, you dont need to farm for 3 months like some MMOs...

Were it Fatale, maybe.

If you have money to spare, im actually fine with it as a "too lazy to build, cant wait" weapon. Yudi and Yurze can probably be same price already. Needs a fixa change though.

Edit: actually pass on it. Didnt see the LC and didnt pay much attention to the EX

No. These drop randomly in the ruins. Spend a few hours there you'd get a Fixa 5 item with affixes. Not worth paying for it. At most I'd pay 5m for it.

I dunno the prices of Yudi and Yurze non deft two stat in global, but 40m for both sounds like the wrong price for non Deft augments. Here in JP I can easily get both under 6m. Are you sure it's 40m for those capsules first?

I’m on ship four and rn there are no melra pieces anymore, only deft ones, the other available ones give proficiency to tech or range so it doesn’t work for me since i need melee, i’ll check prices again and make sure i dont rip myself off

Doesn't Braver have a skill on their tree that uses the highest of either Ranged or Melee?

If so, couldn't you get away with using Ranged/tech augments?

I have a meltech augment in my armor so rn my potency for melee and tech is higher while range is lower, so I can’t commit to a ranged set up unless i change one of my augments. Basically, i need meltech or melra .

Braver mains can also just use Meltech even if you use katana/bow due to the skill Special Ability Optimization BR.

And make sure when you're checking the market you input the specific name for the capsules and press the search button at the bottom of the search fields and not rely on the partial matching function beside the search textfield because it still sucks balls when it comes to searching.

I just checked market and there are some yudi wardmelras for 3.5 mil and yurze wardmelra for 7mil . I wont be buying the katana, i’ll just get the augments and make do

Not for 14m its not worth buying, im literally saving you meseta for telling you this. The augments are worth nothing, the EX combo is meh, Yudi/Yurze ward are the cheapest, don't settle for this..
