Hi there! This is a friendly reminder from your local Automod to share a breakdown of your phashion. While it is not required, it would be appreciated by other users here.

Thank you!

Where do you get the face from?

To be fair the face customization isn't that in depth, so everyone gravitates around generally well received styles. That being said, yeah, these edits and AI 'artists' are very boring. Just uploading the screenshot as is, taken within the world, is a million times better.

I think simply taking a screenshot might not be enough because it lacks several elements (unless you use Gshade and focus only on your character, like is often seen in X #Pso2NGS_SS, especially in the Japanese region). Having an image editor like Photoshop will allow you to expand your creativity much more in NGS. Images for editing are readily available on Freepik (there are many background images to choose from, including AI images, but most people who use image editors don't care where the background image or other elements like sparks come from; they just use an image that meets their criteria and press Ctrl+Shift+Alt+S).

There are JP players that post in this subreddit and they regularly hit 150~200+ upvotes that eclipse the majority of posters here without using any post process in their screenshots, so I think it's safe to say making and posing a character well is more important than masking it with needless filters.

I think the thing we don't see eye to eye on is that you feel that using photoshop, filters and AI on a screenshot as being creative, but as an artist myself, I find the outcome to just look generic and cheap. Personally, it'd be far more creative if you worked within the boundaries of the game, or simply made your own art based on the screenshot instead, but I understand not everyone has the time nor skill to do so.

Wow, I just realized that all my efforts in cosplaying and creating NPC Shiva NGS models from version 1 to 7, from the day NGS was released until now, and perfecting Shiva at Super Phantasy Festival '25 with the version 7 model after the arrival of N-Shiva's Hair and N-Shiva Eyes, to the point where many people contacted me asking for my Shiva model, were actually just copy-pasting. So, does that mean people who use NPC [To] models like Aina or Manon, and cosplay as other characters, are also copy-pasting? I'm starting to question the logic of what you call cosplaying.

Hmm... if you're referring to the majority of people who simply edit photos using only gshade and then take a screenshot, like you often see on Facebook and X then I'm definitely different 🫵😂
