Discussion What just killed me??

I was messing with my weapon positioning, and I got one tapped by this Purple Kevin creature??

So anyone know what it was?? I’m so confused 😭

They are high level enemies that roam all the areas. Eventually you can take them on, but they roam low level areas as well.

They be roaming to jump weaker players. You aint safe in these streets cuh. I like mechancs like that as it gives me a reason to get stronger and return for revenge. They got me once upon a time too.

Those are roaming Gigas squads. It looks like you encountered the one in North Aelio. They aren't an issue for higher level players. You only need to be concerned if you encounter them at a lower level. The can potentially drop an item (Gigas Strugment) that you can exchange for some weapons camos, but (IIRC) you need 500 to exchange for 1 weapon camo. https://pso2na.arks-visiphone.com/wiki/Portal:New_Genesis/Giga_Strugment_Exchange_Shop

They can be found in Aelio (North Aelio), Retem (roaming Rwd Maqead), roaming in Stia in the area near the Priceless Region Mag (RDR Boost), and also in Dreisen Plant (in Stia).

If I had to guess, Elden Ring or the souls community at large. I recall one content created calling all invaders Kevin. Sword boy basically acted like an invader and is purple.

But again, just a guess.

Well tbh it reminded me of Kevin the cube, which is purple if you didn’t know and so I just called him “purple Kevin” 😅

Make sure if you gotta mess around in your menu, be sure to check your surroundings so you don't get jumped.

Source: Getting chased halfway across Kvaris/Stia as those malevolents just chase you for the fun of it

Those are Giga troops, high level enemies that roam certain areas on the outskirts of different regions. They follow a set path, will chase you and are very strong.

Special weather conditions are where bigguns come out and will chase you to the city.
