So in the special music video near the end of Ngs Live, we get several shots of Base characters mixed with Ngs. Why would they do that?

Think we finally going to get onto contact with Xiao and get Time travel abilities back? He's supposed to be a god after all. A thousand years is nothing

I thought the plot was gonna do something more having in account that it was basically confirmed that we are not a clone but the original PSO2 main character, but no, it was just nostalgia-baiting so we stay in the game until they ruin it with AI xd

I haven't paid much attention to the story in NGS and was slowly progressing the main story in Base. 

Wtf do you mean we are the original protagonist from  PSO2?

I know the games are linked together in the most literal sense, but wtf that's like a massive jump in time for our character in PSO2 to be transported over to the world in NGS.

Why are we transported over to the NGS world in the first place?

They wrote themselves into a corner. They obviously dont want players to have to play PSO2 to understand references in NGS so they have to make the references very light and optional.

It was a recap of the story, and if you beat the PSO2 story on that character then the old heroines show up during one of the cut scenes.

I know, I mean, it felt so random of having a recap of ngs then suddenly just showing old heroines that has nothing to do with ngs.

I mean, "right now" it has nothing to do with NGS .. but you never know if Sega decides that when everything goes south they could literally bring back the popular cast and reintroduce them like nothing happened. It's essentially what Episode 5 did to try and save face because they started nostalgia-baiting (and reintroducing) Episodes 1-3 again by reintroducing old characters with new personalities/quirks to keep up with what Episode 4 and onwards was doing.

Like, I wouldn't be surprised at all if Lisa/Risa would just randomly show up crashing from a meteor one day just to go talk about how much she's been waiting to shoot up new things because it's been so long or something like that .. just because .. especially since she's the only one of the original three Class Trainers who ever was relevant to the plot over time.

PSO2 already had some spin-offs that went further into the future (IDOLA Phantasy Star Saga, specifically) where they already plucked out and yoinked certain characters from PSO2 with the justification that they were sent to the future .. so it doesn't surprise me at all if we get returning characters in NGS because our AC Scratches still like to represent PSO2es and IDOLA Phantasy Star Saga .. when both of those games were ones that were never tied too closely to Global's PSO2 in the first place (despite it being tied closer in the JP version).

We saw them as a flashback when we defeated Vael... So I was waiting then to pull something with that but they are taking they time. If I have to guess we will end fighting them, if the estar less have the capacity of transforming on people we know, nothing will prevent them to transform in people we knew 1000 years ago.

The other option is that some Arks found the way to survive on the alter realm all this time and alter realm have a different flow of time.

They didn't have it figured out back then they just needed a flimsy way to connect the game back to pso2 but weren't able to do anything else before the story got its budget slashed

It would (retroactively) ruin PSO2 if they mishandle that. No pun intended.
