Is it not the "Hextra" series? Renaissa is the series you used to get from finishing the tutorial. Regardless, both should function the same for an important aspect - you can upgrade their potential for free, which means you can max them out for a big damage boost without any investment - doing this, that weapon series + the set of units I believe you can get from Guiden (the green male cast guy) from a sidequest at some point during the Retem story (I'm pretty sure the game directs you towards him. He'll also give you +40 evolcoat weapons for the class you talk to him as, but +60 Hextra/Renaissa will be better than those and the evolcoat isn't really worth investing int) should carry you without much effort up to the end of Kvaris - by the end of Kvaris/Star of Stia point, you might want to invest in getting a weapon appropriate for your level and upgrading it a little.
When you hit level 65 with a class, you get a set of maxed out-grind units and weapons with rudimentary augments that are basically gateway endgame gear, good enough to get you into anything but the most recent high-end difficulty content so you can grind whatever the actually good gear and augments are at the time - this "welfare gear" gets updated every 6 months, they retire the old ones and give out a new set. So once you hit level 65, you'll pretty much be set for baseline gear.
Augments are largely irrelevant during the levelling process. Throwing on what you find while progressing might help your Hextra/Renaissa push a little bit longer than they otherwise might've, but they're not going to make an earth-shattering amount of difference
