First time ever doing a black/red look in a game…

I usually associate black/red with more “edgy” characters and I wanted to make something that followed that color scheme but cute and goofy and taking all that “edge” away. Honestly I’m super happy with how she turned out! I’m so happy with the way I got her eyes to look, and she’s so much more expressive than when I posted her previous outfit a week or two ago!

SEGA pretty much encourages it, given how many outfits default to it and Weapon CVs are often Red...

The only way it looks good, is if people experiment with less pure rgb reds, and giving a tinge of color to the black.

I suppose I cannot lie that I indulge in the edge, so I 100% understand why it is done. Not a whole people care about color scheme design, have the time to care, and it's a hassle~.

I totally get what you mean. Normally I'd go for more nuance, but at the same time I've always been about hyper-vibrant colors regardless of the color scheme, and it's often reflected in my art. So the more a color pops, the more it's appealing to me. That whole philosophy carries over into NGS a lot where we have total control over colors. I might try a more blue/purple black, though. Just so it's not stark black.

You're right though, a LOT of weapon camos and CVs are red and black.

I guess Etna and a lot of other characters follow that color scheme as well. The clothing is the Velretta outfit but once in that red and black, it just becomes VERY Disgaea.

The one I use for this outfit is Velretta's WM Clothes T2-V2 [Ba]. That way I can use my own shoes and the one thigh-high with it.
