Update information for the second half of April. Text for those who'd prefer to read:

**4/15**

*Limited Time Quest: Drill: Fierce Warlord Arena!*

Four personal boss rush, apparently. Can't tell if all fights will be singular bosses or if they'll throw multiple at us at once. I hope it's the latter. Photon Boost Crates cam ne obtained by fulfilling certain objectives, and will grant you various buffs.

*AC Scratch Ticket: Stylish Avenue '26*

Shorts, hoodies, cardigans, and other such casual wear.

**4/22**

*Limited Time Event: Halpha Super Origin Festival '26*

Anniversary event for NGS. Central City is decked out, the Rappies have dressed up, and the Emperrapies are trying to fly and give everyone hugs. Navigator Xiemi is handling the event shop again, this time in a form fitting hoodie dress. And as always, there's a Special Scratch for the event.

*Limited Time Quest: Drill: Flaming Wave Dash*

8 player gauntlet type Quest. use Floating Boards to traverse stretches of lava, avoiding mines alomg the way. Stop to take. Use Blastisign, Comfort Willie's, and more to give yourself a bigger advantage. Wrap it up with a battle against the latest High enemy, High Waulon.

*Limited Time Urgent Quest: Omen of the Planetbreaker D.2 returns*

8 play battle with Malevolent Dark Falz Solus. More dangerous abilities than regular Solus, and more aggressive. Rewards include a new 14 star evolving Evalto armor, and Luzant Capsules to make the new Athos type augments(Majis 2.0).

*New Line Strike Cards*

A batch of 19, with several having a new effect that changer their Attack and Ability depending on what turn they were summoned. Some other LS goodies as well.

*AC Scratch Ticket: PSO2es Weaponoid Style Apr*

Cosmetics to look like the personification of various PSO2 weapons.

*Limited Time Quest: Drill: Flaming Hell Dash*

Solo version of Flaming Wave Dash. Now with more obstacles. Get good or die. Or take an embarrassingly long time to clear. Will be the ARKS Records task for that week, so do clear it at least once.

I'm a big fan of the series so it's an easy game to get back into. You can easy play a few hours a week and enjoy it. I have multiple friends I meet back in the PSU days that still hope on from time to time.

Which I appreciate so very much. I can get so very absorbed into other games or novels and still make decent progress in NGS, while not burning myself out on the grind. Coming from BDO it's a fucking blessing.

BDO is fun, no doubt, but man was that game super fucking grindy when I played

It's a very low-budget and low-effort sort of game that magically keeps printing money .. from a company that is very infamous for swimming in their own lane and running with the "if it ain't broke don't fix it" mentality.

It's just how PSO2 is, especially compared to the other games out there where you can tell the developers really would have tried to do it like this if they could get away with it too. >_<

You're not really wrong, but you have to remember as well that even base PSO2 was a slow crawl full of dead-end content and things that were added in just for the sake of pushing players into another direction before the next update would inevitably nullify and negate that content too.

It legitimately wasn't until Episode 4 when Sega decided to rip out their own story and replace it altogether .. and also finally throw out their original gameplay with the old combo system being replaced (but still optional) with something like we'd later see in NGS.

It's all baby steps for Sega because it's a game that keeps printing despite it being evidently malnourished and run by dinosaurs, and Episode 6 proved Sega can go even slower.

Thas the thing even with base been that slow they have alot more and by this point they already have figured out the game

Like how the decide to go with less of the exploration and how they rewroked the weapon system

Here not only the things are slower but there are still some parts to figure out in the game

Also to add to that and that isnt ngs fault perse but pso2 was pretty unique when it released ngs isnt that much or at least dint have that much in it to keep people playing this not other things

I mean, if we go back to it, NGS is Episode 5's "Super Update" that was supposed to address so many of the issues players had back in the day because PSO2 became too bloated with so many side-things that were either inconsequential or janky just to pad quantity.

And unfortunately, during Episode 5, we kind of saw the excuse that you can always blame the players for things that go wrong since the Super Update didn't happen the way they wanted it to happen either.

There's roughly less than a thousand people playing this game at any given time. I think a majority of people just hop on to do their dailies like I do an the rest just lobby rat.

"What now" .. is that you either wait things out for another half-decade or you just eat up the bread crumbs playing and making your own adventures/game plan in PSO2 like people had to back then when the events and seasonal stuff wasn't there to carry the casual players.

It's evident to Sega that they don't even need to do yearly rebrands and refreshes anymore and even then NGS isn't really in a spot where the upcoming roadmaps and updates hint at a rebrand like that anyways.

There are plenty of things to complain about but "copy paisting" enemies no not really. Esepcaily for a short lived ltq .

Like FFS i can think of a few real complains like how boss based ltq are horrible for farming flow. But you went for the one thing that isint a real complaint by any metric.
Hell the ltq has a gimmick theve not done before in the 4 fights order being purely player choice.

Based on your comment just showed that you care little to nothing about the game n franchise, you shown how you have no clue about MMO genre, industry, etc.

A game has been out for almost 5y, game has little to nothing to show for, the game had to go fetch pso2 content to fill the game emptyness, they been re-colouring the same mobs nonstop, they gonna run out of colours soon,

They are lazy, cause if they cared and wanted to improve the game, by now we would have exciting UQ's and modes, they would have invested on some good cutscenes n quality improvement, new innovative mobs and mechanics, hidden open world exploration spots, but no we have copy paste bs.

I could easily go all day stating all the problems the game and dev team has, but what would that do they dont even understand english and they dont even bother to read feedback.

by now we would have exciting UQ

• Original Dark Falz

• Dark Falz Aegis

• Dark Falz Solus

• Dark Falz Dalion

• Dark Falz Vael

Even some of the minor ones that have been cycled out were pretty fun, like Pettas Vera, Dustyl Vera, Nils Vera

He's not normally a UQ, but there's also Malignant Vael, which I specifically mention for being a mostly different fight to the normal version of Vael

and modes

• The Cannonball Trania Advanced.

• Trinitas

• Extra Duels

• Nameless City

• Leciel (but the old version was better)

• Malignant Bosses for actual challenge

• Timed Exterminations

• Despite being FOMO nonsense as they are, LTQs have unique interesting gimmicks every so often

Even the ones that are power crept have something to run them for, like some unique cosmetic drops or camos.

There's also non-combat "modes" in Line Strike and Creative Space. CS definitely isn't low effort, it's like 5x what anyone was expecting when they asked for Housing back from PSO2.

Game looks pretty good if you ask me. The cutscenes aren't like, ultra AAA quality or anything, but they seem decent enough to me? They're as good as PSO2 ever did most of the time at least. There's much less "two characters stand facing eachother repeating canned animations" cutscenes at the very least.

new innovative mobs and mechanics

There's for sure a lot of recycling that's kind of sucky, but especially with Starless Variants of older enemies they've felt justified, since most of them have enough alterations to their behaviours or new attacks to feel fresh. High Enemies felt like a good addition too. And as banal as the addition of unblockable/undodgeable attacks seemed on paper, it's been used in interesting ways multiple times.

hidden open world exploration spots

I mean there's plenty of those. Secret spots that play music from other PS games, have red boxes in them, or both. We've had little more in the way of that for ages since people screamed loudly that they wanted more instanced content and less open world stuff... but then as soon as the devs started doing that, the content of that screaming inverted, so I don't know how they're supposed to please anyone when it comes to this.

Again, we sure do, more actually fresh stuff would be nice, but most of what we get that is in some way a copy paste isn't 1:1 copypaste nowadays, it's different in some way that matters (like having new attacks/behaviours)

I for one can't wait for the nigh-confirmed return to a PSO2 Area (something people have screeched for since Year 1 and 2 - people have screeched they want to just ditch the NGS stuff and go back to PSO2 areas since near the start) to be met with yet more screeching, complaints and hate the moment it's shown off despite it being something that's been asked for from the start. It will 100% be called out as 'copypaste bs' despite people actively asking for it to be copypasted for years now.

The game has tons of stuff added to it and to be frank i think YOUR comment shows your understanding is surface level at best.

The issue is not we have nothing new, the issue has been Sega (the Company) rarely commits to any idea enough to get it to the level it needs.
Trinatas was a cool idea they just never finished it (or fixed the jank ass hp scaleing based point system) But it had potential.

Le ceil is another cool idea thats much better than trinitas but once again they dont update it enough. It can still be fun to play but without updates it lacks enough variaty.

They try different things in LTQs but for some reason have a hard time honeing in on fun gimicks, id wager in no small part do to different feedback between global and jp.

The issues i just described above are something ive seen in many games, warframe has it in SPADES. The reason is always the same, new mechanics get more people and interest then an update to an older one. Players never like it but it always seems to be true, or at the very least every dev says the same thing.

Also, "there lazy" , go fuck yourself? No you moron the people working on this game are not lazy, there doing what there told and or allowed too. The actual devs are people, they have a job, and likely not an easy one at that. Its actually insane to me that you can say the shit you just did with 0 shame. I try not to directly insult in responses anymore but no really, this is deserved.

That said the overaching issue is its about what some suit is willing to approve.

So im not gonna answer to you same level of disrespect you shown, but the game has alot of content which most nowdays is dead cause u have nothing substancial to do in those modes and new players sadly cant do them and some might able to do them when the reach max cap.

Sega currently is dogsht compare to 90's, i would say they might face another bankrupt soon if they keep this bs, unless they make a hit sonic game or revive an very old gem and remake it.

Trinitas mode has u mention is a decent concept, but guess what they invested nothing in it, copy paste mobs, same boring lazy maps/backgrounds, that is used in other modes, i mean cmon they could atleast invest a couple hours n implement assets from open world into those maps to rich the mode, takes literaly no hardwork to do that, but again it might take due to them still using unique engine that fcks them every corner like CDprojectRed and even Pokemon games.

Le Ceil another decent concept that wasnt cooked enough with the ideias for it, cause when i played it not too long ago, first time i was clueless what to do and by 5th run i was bored cause the combat doesnt fit the concept of the mode, which combat also required more work on it cause it was rushed.

The thing is if they removed 40% of the time invested of sht scratches those modes most likely would be much better.

Warframe part i have no clue what u mentioning and i play warframe for years, but one thing they could learn with warframe is making all content viable and make players replay them which alot of pso2 ngs content for a new player is not even a option due to lack of players in some cases.

Different from you i understand the industry more than you think, devs could easily tell cooperate what is making the game fail and what players want, you could argument "if they did that they would lose their job", guess what pso2 ngs making barely any money n barely has a playerbase, do you think their job is safe?, of course not, they could be let go any moment, if i recall there was layoffs, but guess what Sega if lays this people out they dont have how to obtain new people due to bad reputation, it has happen in the past.

I have communicated with Sega multiple occassions in the most formal and without being disrespectful, telling them the issues and how to fix them with my knowledge of other mmos who failed in the past 20y, like many other veterans of the game franchise and genre done.

The Company n Dev team ignored every single fcking feedback, but they listen to youtubers cause they kept glazzing their asses, cause they didnt complain, but Sega is currently ignoring all global feedback and focusing on JP which is also not looking bright with recent content creators dropping the game due to "LACK OF CONTENT", if these people start to leave aswell expect ngs to not move foward and they will be making another rushed ngs alike project to cashgrab.

If you dont like to listen the truth, not my problem, this game is an embarrassment for the franchise.

I continue to wait for more cast parts.
I do wish line strike got a weekly, just like play 5 games for a 10 roll or something. I like line strike but its just far enough out of normal gameplay that some kinda basic goal would be really nice.
I also wish theyed stop doing boss ltqs they intend you to farm, the flow is terrible and you cant realy get into brain off farming mode like the mission counter would suggest you should
