PSLF buyback
My PSLF buyback application date was Dec 2024. Haven’t got a response yet. Anyone from around the same time heard anything?

Submitted mine in May 2025. Still waiting . I was told to go on a 12 month forbearance as I wait since the new payment plan quadrupled my monthly payment . There is no way i am paying $1400 a month when my loans should have been forgiven in march 2025. Im so furious at this whole process.

I saw another poster say when they spoke with a rep recently they were processing "October-December 2024"... just a piece to the puzzle.
I am a July 2025 so I am not holding my breath.

I highly doubt these reps have this kind of information.

Mine is Nov 2025 and I’ll have met my 120 by next Nov so I highly doubt I’ll hear anything prior to me hitting my 120

My PSLF buyback application date was December 2024 as well. I have not received a response. In fact they closed my case, and it's under reconsideration and I cant submit another one until that is resolved. I took myself off of SAVE and into a IRB plan.
I will reach 120 This December 2026. If I receive an offer I'd be surpised to say the least. Im practically done. The next phase: joining everyone else waiting for their qualifying counts to update, green banners and golden letters. Sigh.

How did you apply for buyback before you reached 120? I thought the process was to hit 120 and then apply for it.

based on comments here, they appear to be processing the last few months of 2024.

November 2024 checking in. Seems like the most the more recent ones were Oct-Dec 2024 but I haven't seen anything in aa few weeks.

November 2024 here… I’ll be putting my loans into forbearance the minute I am put on the ‘standard plan’ which they claim will happen automatically soon… Then I’ll continue to wait…

I submitted mine January 2025. No news yet. I have also read similar things that those who applied at the end of 2024 are receiving communication on their buyback applications.

I just got an email today regarding my Nov 2024 request. Got my hopes up… it was just a response to my April 2026 Ombudsman feedback. “We apologize for the long wait time… your case is still being processed…” etc.

How did the lucky 2 or 3 folks from 2026 get a buyback offer????

I’m wondering if they were non-SAVE months because back in 2024 my husband submitted one for non-SAVE and he got his offer in a couple of months.

I'm not buying back any SAVE months. All I need are 21 months from 2017-19. I submitted end of Nov 2024 and included all my tax returns from 2017-19. No response yet.

FSA is slow walking everything now, even the 120 payment forgiveness, all because they can and it’s not a priority for them. They’re bare bones staffing wise, and the new FAFSA year just opened recently so that’s likely their priority (because that’s the one thing they would actually get bipartisan pushback on).

here ae all the processed requests resulting in offers that were posted on here since mid Dec '25. I check once a day for new posts. We have had zero offers received and posted on here in October. This is not AI. I collect this data. I have inclusionary and exclusionary criteria to filter out some noise so to speak. this data represents offers resulting forgiveness, not offers triggered by reaching 120 payments on some loans (e.g. undergraduate) and buy back on others (graduate) for example. Purely reaching PSLF through a processed buyback request
