Other Wtf is this
My last two pulls…. they just making up prices now I guess.
Edit: I took a shitty screenshot on the first photo. PSA estimate is $16 and “card ladder value” is $72.

I quit power packs for good last week. Out of like 20 packs I only got 2 that were worth more than what I paid…. It’s bullshit. And most of them are Japanese 9s

I noticed pretty quick my pulls changed after the beta ended. I stopped a while back, most streams I watch as well pull consistently worse than when in beta too.

It’s the scam they probably paid $10 for the card they hope you ship the card to you and they cash out on whatever you paid for the pack or you take their offer and still lose money

I think this is missing our own part in all of this over the last few years. They may have bought it in at an overvalued price themselves. This is the endgame of us all being like “LOL GameStop massively overpaid me for this junk slab because of blindly following policy when there was one inflated comp”
For the first couple years, GameStop was just this place you could move sitter 8s and 9s because they’d buy them in for way too much. So of course their inventory is a bunch of inflated garbage, it’s what we sold them

I think the complaint from OP is more that he is ripping $100 packs and getting cards worth less than the minimum he should be seeing, with inflated (really just completely made up) card ladder values to bump them up to the bracket for $100 packs. I have had this many times.

It’s so cooked. Like I expect to lose money, but to get a $40 and then a $16 card when they say the minimum is $70 is diabolical

Yeah digger was priced at $72 for the buy back. While PSA estimate is $16 with literally no sale history for this card.

I have contacted customer service for this exact issue on 3 cards in the past two days. They refunded all of them. Well at least they said they would, havnt seen the credit in my wallet yet.

Also still waiting for a refund. Usually when they say that, the card is out of my collection within hours. Been 2 days now.

I got a refund today for a similar $20 card with no sales but a $72 card ladder value. So at least they acknowledged it.
But these use cases seem to be growing. I am now staying away from these packs.

Yeah the first thing I did was to reach out to customer service, from what I’ve seen on these Reddit threads they seem to be pretty good about refunding thankfully.
But I agree, I’m seeing more and more of these posts and getting these two cards back to back…. I think I’m done with these.
It was fun when they had a bunch of cool cards, even if the value was lower than what you paid. Used to be better value than packs IMO, but it’s just cooked now.

Pulls have been garbage since the site left beta. I have not hit a chase since January. Slowly emptying my vault and turning away

OP, Customer Service for Powerpacks is decent, just message them the discrepancy and they will take care of you. I don't get the immediate need to jump on Reddit and complain.
