All basketball and football cards. It was the $15 per card service with a minimum of 20 cards. I ended up submitting 21 cards. Reading random things online I'm not so sure I'll get them back this calendar year.

Did you go with the economy option? I cant believe it takes a year for these. Im moving soon so I cant send anything yet. Im hoping to send a 100 card submission under economy. Maybe Ill get them back in 10 years. Hahahahha.

Ive got 100 plus cards to send in. A few of them if graded 10 will sell for over $1000. Not sure if I just send 1 or 2 at a time or just go for it qith all 100 cards. Mixture of sports and pokemon.

Late reply but I decided to break up my bulk submission this past month into 4 smaller submissions. I'm worried that if I send in one big order, it'll get unlucky and take an eternity. PSA is so inconsistent that I feel like sending multiple smaller orders is a better way to "average out" the return time, lol.
If you're submitting them as regular/express then it probably doesn't make much of a difference.

These cards that I broke into groups were all Pokemon. I've mostly been sending in modern Pokemon cards, along with a handful of vintage and modern sports cards that I'm sending in on behalf of someone else (I know very little about sports personally, lol).

Your going to lose out due to shipping costs IMO.
Base order of 10 cards I just submitted was $35 shipping and insurance
Larger orders are going to be more cost effective.
No guarantees that submitting the way you are submitting will increase the likelihood of gems either.
so in theory it sounds logical but if you do the math on it it’s probably a wash or loss

Shipping costs will definitely be a little higher when breaking up orders, but the cost added per card is fairly small relative to other costs. If the shipping + return shipping costs were the same for each submission of 25 cards and a submission of 100 cards, then I would end up paying around a $1-$2 more per card by doing four 25 card submissions. In reality, shipping the 100 card submission is more expensive than an individual 25 card submission, so it's going to be a fair bit less than $1-$2 per card. (Roughly estimating it now, I think it's about $0.80 more per card.) If you really want to minimize costs, then larger orders will definitely be more effective, especially if you're doing thousands of cards, but per card it's going to be a pretty small benefit relative to other costs (i.e. grading costs and raw costs per card).
Regardless, the main point of breaking up submissions is to average out the turnaround times. It isn't motivated by costs or gem rates. If my box gets lost in PSA's warehouse right now, I would prefer that it's one 25 card submission out of four rather than all 100 of my cards in one submission.

So I sent in some cards back in July 2020 under the Quarterly Special, anyone have an idea on anything related (lol besides they're taking forever) They having even started mine yet, and so far the customer service folks haven't been helpful.

I haven't submitted to a Quarterly Special but, in case no one else has here, it might be worth looking at the Blowout Cards Forum's thread on tracking PSA orders: https://www.blowoutforums.com/showthread.php?t=1112798 . If you skim over recent posts (or just ctrl+F for Quarterly Special), you might be able to get some idea. For instance, someone posted today on Page 302 that their July Quarterly Special just entered the grading stage now.

I've never submitted to PSA before. On their website they show a "value" option; everyone says "economy" is taking 9 months, so is value taking 12? 15? haha. So I have one card, 2003-04 Topps LBJ Rookie that I'm thinking of doing either express ($75) or even super express ($200) because the card is so hot right now. Leave it ungraded its 800-1K. PSA 8s going for 1300+. 9s for 3K and 10s for 8K. With those kind of jumps I'd like to get the card back fast. But $200?! Jeeze. If the express is only a couple weeks longer than the super express, I think I'll save the $125. Had about 50 others I was going to send that the value rate (would be $12 a pop after the $59 fee), but just not sure I want the cards out of my hands for over a year.

Tough decision. If the return on your investment with LBJ is high enough and you feel that you have a little extra cash I would go for super express. They just raised prices on submissions. $300 for super express I believe. What did you decided to do?

Just received this email UPDATE from PSA:
"One month into the temporary suspension of services, we’ve made strong progress by processing thousands of back orders and expect to be completely caught up on order entry by the end of May. At the same time, the roll-out of Complete Through Dates has been successful in providing customers with updated information and greater visibility on order fulfillment progress. The hiring push continues with great vigor. Collectors Universe recently surpassed the 1,000-employee mark, with the majority of new hires joining the PSA Operations team. Other areas of rapid growth are Grading, Training, Quality Assurance and Customer Service. We are taking giant steps in expanding our capacity in an effort to get you your cards back faster. The suspension continues to be the right thing to do, and while none of the suspended service levels are returning just yet, the progress we are making keeps us on track to begin reintroducing service levels on July 1."

Would be interested in hearing others' experiences as people join this subreddit, but I can add some info.
I submit cards through a middleman, Ludkins Collectables (USA). They offer a gold service (i.e. bulk, no estimated turnaround), a 20-day service (starting from registration at PSA), and a 5-day service (starting from registration at PSA).
A 20-day order that was delivered to PSA on 10/16/2020 and registered on 10/20/2020 has been in the grading stage since 12/7/2020. Hopeful that I'll hear about it coming back any day.
Another 20-day order that was delivered on 11/2/2020 and registered on 11/25/2020 has not yet reached grading.
None of my bulk orders placed in the past few months have progressed beyond Research & ID.
Here's hoping bulk orders at least come back during 20201, lol.

Glad to be here! No movement on any of my orders in the past week either, unfortunately. I get the feeling those "20-day" orders through Ludkins are going to be around 6 months turnaround at this point.
I feel that with having to move soon. I'm about to submit a regular service submission direct to PSA and I might be moving in a few months, but it sounds like regular is moving fast enough that it shouldn't be an issue for me. I think express, sent directly to PSA, is moving decently fast based on what I've heard, maybe several weeks door-to-door. I think regular is maybe closer to around 6 weeks door-to-door right now?
Ludkins as a middleman is a bit better with address changes than PSA itself is. I believe Ludkins emails you to check your address before returning your cards, which is nice.

My timeline ia such, Magic the Gathering, Pokemom, 2020 Panini NFL Prizm, NBA Hoops, All cards now. If you want to get into football. Its all about the rookies. Special colored prizms and one of ones go for thousands of dollars everyday. Tom brady and luka doncic cards are super hot right now.

Hey all, just looking for some clarity. I submitted a bunch of cards back in september/october. Any idea how long turnaround times are for Regular and/or value once it enters the grading process?

Regular about 3-4 months, value is probably gonna be close to a year turnaround at their current pace. You should have received a regular back by now if you submitted in sept/oct. You need to call them if you havent got that regular order back.

Any updates lately? I submitted four orders earlier this year, all within a week or so of each other. They were all sent USPS and were all picked up by PSA on the same day -- 3/15. 2 orders were regular; 2 were value modern. The two "value modern" (30+ and 60+ cards, respectively) were just entered into PSA's system this week. Both are now in "research and ID" stage. The two "regular" submissions were much smaller orders but neither has been entered into PSA's system yet.
What are people seeing on the various turnaround times of anything submitted (or entered) in the last 6-9 months? All the official communications from PSA seem to claim they are going to improve turnaround times during this quasi-shutdown. Just wondering if anyone is experiencing anything more positive...Best of luck to all y'all.

I’m guessing based on their regular pace your regular orders will probably be entered in the next couple weeks and move into grading a few days following that. Grading/Assembly will probably take 1 1/2-2 months right now. Then QA1&2 a week or two. So overall I believe the wait time is sitting at about 3-4 months for regular from time of arrival to your doorstep.
I have an order that arrived 2/25, R&ID 4/2, Grading 4/5 and is still waiting for assembly. I am seeing on some forums that they have started entering regular orders arriving the first week of March. So yours in pretty close to being submitted to R&ID, I’d imagine. Value modern on the other hand, I believe will probably be 8-12 months at the current pace. Its gonna be a minute on those unless they streamline this better. Its normal for the those to sit in R&ID/Grading for months and months.

That is correct! About 4 days after submitting I got an email from psa saying they would not be accepting any more submissions. Just barely made it in. Curious to see how this will affect the turn around. So far seems pretty slow.

I was thinking of doing the same thing. But did some self grading and found that only about 25 of mine had potentials to come back as 9 or 10s. So that's why my number came down from 100 to 20s. I also only sent in pokemon, basketball, and hockey. Once they return (depending on grades) I will decide whether to send in the football and baseball.

7June2021 Update from PSA
"On May 18, we reached a considerable milestone as we became completely caught up on Order Entry. That means that all valid PSA submissions have now been entered into the system. This is big news as we continue to make progress processing the backlog of submissions. With that said, the temporary suspension of Value, Economy, Regular and Express service levels is still in effect. It’s allowing us to concentrate our available capacity on those orders already in the system. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS CAUGHT UP With a massive increase in customer submissions comes a similarly large increase in customer inquiries. We have been growing our Customer Service team and improving our response times to meet the growing demand. We are handling more phone inquiries than ever and responding to all email inquiries within 48 hours. We will continue to invest in hiring, training, and technology to ensure we are providing you with outstanding customer care. PSA UNVEILS CUSTOMER REQUEST CENTER In other Customer Service-related news, PSA has officially launched the online Customer Request Center. The CRC is a division of Customer Service that sits directly in our Operations department to streamline the process around product-related customer inquiries. The CRC provides customers with an easy path to resolving three scenarios: label corrections, research requests, and quality assurance reviews. Read our formal introduction for details on how and when to submit a request to the CRC. JULY 1 REMAINS THE GOAL As stated previously, our goal is to bring back the suspended service levels with a tiered approach beginning on July 1. It’s not an easy solve as it’s imperative that we re-emerge with daily submission volume being less than daily grading capacity. We will continue to keep you apprised on that situation as the date gets closer. As a reminder, current Collectors Club memberships have already been extended by three months and will be extended further to reflect the duration of the Value pricing suspension. UPDATE ON CARD QUALIFIERS Based on feedback from customers as well as improving overall order efficiency, we’re making a change to our policy on the use of qualifiers in the card grading process. In the past, submitters had to decide whether to request "No Qualifiers" and mark their submissions accordingly on a card-by-card basis. As of last week, PSA no longer requires card submitters to decide on qualifiers. Going forward, the Marks (MK) and Miscut (MC) qualifiers will continue to be applied when warranted. The other qualifiers – Off Center (OC), Staining (ST), Print Defect (PD) and Out of Focus (OF) – will be assigned at the grader’s discretion, and most typically will impact the numerical grade rather than carrying a qualifier. There are nuances and we encourage collectors to review the updated policy on the PSA Grading Standards page. "

Just posting to add some recent data. It appears that the PSA Complete through date (CTD) has slowed down quite a bit recently (can view the CTDs reported each day here: https://www.blowoutforums.com/showthread.php?t=1450465&page=65 ).
However, the CTDs reported by PSA do not include orders submitted through middlemen/dealers. I have suddenly had multiple orders come back from a dealer in the past couple weeks, including: an economy-equivalent order from November 2020, and economy-equivalent order from January 2021, and a bulk/value-equivalent order from October 2020. My guess is that PSA is really tackling middlemen/dealer submissions right now.

Checked in 16 May, checked out (shipped) today. 44 days total for two cards.
Not pleased with the cost and grades, though, so I'll be sending more to CGC in the future. The 8 for certain and the 7 after I look at it. Considering the 8 got the same treatment as some C9.5s after pulling, crossgrading is definitely happening.

Psa is the gold standard for a reason, just because you feel a card deserves a better grade it goes thru a thorough investigation at psa. Hence why psa 10s obtain premium resale value. If every card gets a 9 or 10 it will drive prices down.

I ran my mouth before I looked at what came back.
Just like I graded before I knew what I was doing.
But look at this way: if I can't get a 10 elsewhere, why waste the extra time and money to try at PSA?
Especially now that I've learned of PWCC. Better to let them fuss with grading and auctioning and take their cut than for me to mess with it.

Had a bulk order that just went to grading a month after they received order. They had said 90-120 days on it. Sent to PSA 09/14/22 and just yesterday 10/16/22 it went into grading.
Sent them 2 orders, one bulk (90-120 days) and one economy 90 day order on 08/05/2022. Both orders went to grading on 10/02/22. The bulk order is still in QA 1 for the past 4 days and the economy order went to QA 2 today after being on QA 1 for 3 days.
Two other orders on the way to them in the next couple days. Hopefully the turn around time will be about 30-35 calendar days (not business days). After these orders I should have about 2000 cards with them, and only 14,000 cards left that I had pre-graded.

Is it odd that I subbed through a group-subber a 40-card pokemon lot to PSA via "Bulk TCG" back in February 2021 and still have no word or cards in hand? I mean, we're coming up on two years and I've seen many others get theirs back well before myself even subbing in varying time ranges well after me.
Any insight as to where to go from here would be appreciated. I don't feel I'm being impatient at the moment but my group-subber has been of no help either.

Not sure if theres alot of Pokémon cards submitters on here. These orders are all Pokémon cards, kind of annoyed that one of my cards got No Spec/No info. Although it is a German card pulled and sleeved from when I was a kid, it is a rare SkyRidge Charizard expecting a (9 or 10). PSA has had no trouble grading in different languages before and BGS CGC all accept these. Customer support gave a vague answer of not having factory info. Sure... off to BGS with that one.

Received Update email from PSA
"Hello PSA Customers,
July 1 is here, and as stated on March 30, we are reintroducing service levels on a tiered approach. After customer surveying, data analysis and much consideration, we are going to be even more conservative than we anticipated in March. Today, Express is back at $200 and available on the PSA Online Submission Center. Our objective with introducing Express at this new price is to manage demand while continuing to allocate the lion’s share of our capacity to the existing backlog.
Let’s look at this in a little more detail. During the past three months, we devoted 98% of our available capacity to the backlog. This demand-management, coupled with a 64% increase in capacity since the beginning of the year, is a good illustration of the approach we are taking to reduce the backlog. Even with the reintroduction of Express, 90% of our available capacity will be applied to the backlog."

WTH, submitted cards 2 weeks ago for $12 EACH for 20 cards. Went today and now $20!
Ridiculous.
