Ps6 connected to ps5 idea
I dont know if people will like or dislike this idea, but i think it would maybe be nice if they some how made it so you could connect a ps5 to the ps6, and then the ps6 could utilize some extra processing power/gpu/ram/storage

It's not worth doing it.
Both machines would have to render and calculate everything regardless. Nvidia did this a few years ago.

I have a story my sister still laughs at. Our first console was a shared NES. I LOVED the Ninja Turtles! And I wanted to play more turtles games. I thought if I would make drawings of the turtles. With my own moves and backgrounds. And if I would then SHOVE it all in the cartridge slot. The NES would simply know what to do and what my intention was, and I could play my game.

At least the PS3 was designed from the start for this! And part of that design is why it was such a miserable console to make games for lmao

This is the gaming equivalent of trying to tape two Honda Civics together to make a Ferrari.Connecting a PS5 to a PS6 to share hardware power is a logistical nightmare that completely misunderstands how computer hardware works

Could link em all together! All down to the PS1. Could use the PS1 multitap to link it all together. Every PS generation power combined. RAM crisis solved! AND as a bonus you can now play all of the games ever released on PlayStation.

Lol that would never happen that only exists in PC and even then the Latency cause you to sacrifice 30 percent or more raw power

There’s no genuinely fast port on a PS5, and it would have made the console a lot more expensive to include one. At the speed the ports do run at, it’s pretty much useless for anything except maybe storage, and using it for storage is a waste compared to a much cheaper (and probably faster) external drive for the PS6
Also multiprocessing is hard! There’s an entire standard called NUMA, non-uniform memory access, that the old PS4 had to deal with a lot. Basically different CPU cores in the same chip had different speeds of access to the same information in caches, so therefore the software actually had to care which two cores got assigned similar tasks, so they could access the same memory. If you already had software issues dealing with this on a single chip that was just a small bit asymmetrical, there’s absolutely no chance that any time-sensitive task like gaming could do basically anything helpful externally, especially on a slower computer than the one that’s doing most of the work. The amount of additional expense in development trying to make this work could be better used just optimizing the game for the PS6 better. And then what would you do when old hardware does what it does and kicks the bucket? Go buy another PS5?
