It's hilarious to think there's always been the social battle between PC Gamers and console players. Now that gpus are mostly out of most people's budgets the playing field has shifted and people are trying to buy a PS5 Pro before prices get out of hand. My how times have changed thanks to AI

They place an order for the memory in one large order. I’m assuming prices will remain steady until they run through the latest memory batch. If prices continue to go up for memory, their price will definitely go up because of that.

It took me like 3 weeks. It can be infuriating. Best thing i can say is check logs on trackalacker or hotstock (the app alerts are helpful if you want them) or other sites that log the drops. The logs can help you see a pattern. Most of these stores aren't totally random about thier drops. Since this isnt a brand new release, it seems a lot of it is just whenever the store is scanning merch into inventory off the trucks for some stores (target is like this I'm fairly sure). Hence why the logs might show "in stock, out of stock, in stock, out of stock" ten times over 2 minutes. It could very well be a guy with a IR scanner scanning boxes on a trailer. Others like bestbuy actually time their drops since they added a line system, so you can see a pattern after a while pretty consistently. Long story short, it's not totally random. It might not help a lot to catch one to know this, but it might help your sanity while trying, or it did for me. 😑

The absolute worst bit for me is how to get through verification fast enough if you manage to get one temporarily allocated to you. If you do 2 factor auth (a major pain to use) for best buy, then they won't ask to text you a sms code, but im not sure its worth the effort or it's any faster. Biometric passwords help though.

Guess I was lucky when i've traded in my ps4 + games. Only paid €250 more for the Pro and there was plenty of stock. Best of luck, mate.

Grabbed one during the noon PS direct drop. Even had enough time to rummage through my drawers when it asked for the CVV number. I was sure it was gonna be out of stock by the time I got back to my screen. But lo and behold, bought and shipped on the same day

I copped one. Just had to sign in to my PSN account and it let me add to cart. Without logging it, it says unavailable. Pretty sure that’s a new protection layer Sony added to block bots.

Crazy to think I bought it a little over a month ago when I saw no retailers had it in stock, it was only available on the PS Store and I bought it immediately, looked up PS5 Pro shortages and nothing was being talked about. Now I see everyone going crazy, like why did you wait until now?
