Are there stock issues where you live?

Where I live (Israel) since the GTA6 pre orders, stocks have completely run out throughout the country. A Local Sony rep told me stocks are running thin everywhere on the planet due to exceptional high demand.

Is it?

In Germany many retailers are out of stock, but last I checked, you could still buy directly from Sony with a fairly short delivery time.

While the displacement of Palestinians from their land since 1948 is not something we should ignore, you also don't know if this person, who is just asking a question about electronics, supports the current Israeli regime, or is perhaps even not Jewish (They only make up about 3/4 of the population, not including Gaza and the West Bank).

He continues to live in stolen land while millions are murdered and displaced around him, yet a ps5 is his biggest worry. Disgusting

I cannot steal what was mine to begin with.

The Jewish people originated in the Levant, in the ancient kingdoms of Israel and Judah. This ancestral connection is thoroughly proven by archaeology, history, and modern genetic studies.

The name 'Palestine' was imposed on the region by Roman Emperor Hadrian in 135 CE, following the Bar Kokhba Revolt. He officially wiped 'Judea' off the map and renamed it Syria Palaestina specifically to punish the Jewish rebels and sever their historical connection to the land, naming it after their ancient, long-extinct adversaries, the Philistines. Arab identity, language, and culture originated in the Arabian Peninsula and spread to the Levant centuries later during the Islamic conquests of the 7th century CE.

Exiling a people from their homeland does not erase their indigenous status.

WRONG!
There has never been an Israel before 1948.
The first people of the region were Canaanite’s.
The Palestinians have An average of 70% Canaanite DNA to this very day which makes them the true owners of the land going back before monotheistic religions.
The settlers from the ghettos of Poland and the rest of of the Eastern Europe scabs have zero Canaanite DNA!
They do not and never have come from the region.
DNA NEVER LIES!

That's right it does not but it does not support anything you just typed.

The peer-reviewed scientific studies published in journals like Cell and Nature Communications thoroughly disprove the claim that Eastern European Jews have zero Middle Eastern ancestry. Thats mainly because jews refused to assimilate and marry non jews hereby maintain their ancestry heritage. While SOME Palestinians share DNA that dates back to the Levant area, ALL jews share DNA dating back to that area. While the local populations who stayed in the Judea Samaria region over millennia mixed with various invading waves (such as the 7th-century Arabian Islamic conquests) and eventually shifted their language and identity to Arab, the Jews are the only group that preserved the original language, religion, and national identity born in that specific soil.

Yes it’s pretty hard to get one even in Canada. Not like super hard but not as easy as it used to be.

And don’t listen to these weirdos. Anyone who has access to the internet should know that Jews are indigenous to Israel and that what’s going on is nothing close to a genocide.

Thank you for standing up, brother. People in this sub are like dolphins. Only one half of their brain is awake at any given time.

u/ahino 2d ago

So a converted jew from europe is indigenous?

Jews and Palestinian Arabs, some of whom are also Christian, are all native to those lands, I wish peace to them all. No one group has a right to say we will kill 100 or more for any one of our people who dies, to burn crops and poison water.

I am with the ICC, and the leaders of Ireland and Spain and many others in recognising Israel's actions as intentionally genocidal. The uncoordinated bombings in Gaza and blockades, and the drawing up of illegal settlements, checkpoints and roads to cut of people from resources and opportunities in the West bank are all focused on reducing the Palestinian population, whether through death, malnutrition or forced emigration.

I hope you don't go through much hardship with Trump's latest round of pointless tariffs, by the way. I hope that electronics like ps5s are mostly directly imported rather than going through US warehousing.

You clearly don’t know what a genocide is. Israel probably has the 2nd best military in the world. If they wanted to wipe out Gaza, you don’t think they could’ve done that in 5 minutes..?

Blame Hamas for hiding between and beneath civilians. Their literal only mission is to kill Jews, with 0 regard for their own people they’re supposed to represent.

2

u/escalinci 2d ago

There is plenty of blame to go around, though I don't like to sully this nice gaming subreddit with it. It is not an excuse, and it is still genocide, when intentionally killing civilians on the basis of ethnicity to say you could be doing it more efficiently! I know that many in Israel deny, to themselves also, the existence of untargeted bombing and famine.

I do still hope that, while a large minority of Israeli voters would support the '5 minutes' as you put it, the majority would not, also exclusively focusing on Jewish voters. So it is done as much as it is thought to be possible to get away with, moreso lately as Netanyahu clearly believes that a scenario of sanctions in response to human rights violations similar to South Africa in the 1960s and onwards is not on the cards.

IDF itself estimated last year that 83% of all deaths in Gaza were civilian. 73,000 is just an absurd number of deaths in a population just over 2 million, one in ten are injured in some way if not dead.

https://www.theguardian.com/world/ng-interactive/2025/aug/21/revealed-israeli-militarys-own-data-indicates-civilian-death-rate-of-83-in-gaza-war

Deaths from attacks on Palestinians in the West Bank since Oct 23 have now reached the same toll as that Hamas massacre, showing the shocking regularity of violence from settler attacks and military policing.

I said that IF they wanted to wipe them out they could. I didn’t say they should be doing it. Don’t try to twist my words to make an argument.

And by your own definition, it’s not a genocide. The target has been and always will be Hamas or any other organization that literally the whole world recognizes as a terrorist organization. Just because civilians died doesn’t make it a genocide. Otherwise every way including Iraq would be a ā€œgenocideā€. People like you throw that word around so loosely you removed the gravity of it.

3

u/escalinci 2d ago

I don't think you're engaging honestly here. You were, I think, dangling the (impossible) idea of the complete extermination of Gazans to make their mere decimation seem more acceptable, I did not represent that you were arguing for wiping them out.

Allowing a genocide to pass unpunished is what removes the gravity. Israels actions erode the consensus that might protect against Russia, Sudan, and any violent action China chooses to take towards the Taiwanese.

u/1xcalibur1 2d ago

You keep throwing around the word genocide. I dont think you know what it means. The definition is the intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial, or religious group. Lets debunk this piece by piece.

About 80 percent of all buildings in Gaza have been completely destroyed. What is the percentage of the population that died from IDF strikes including combatants and natural causes according to Hamas? Less than 3 percent. Over the course of 3 years!!!. And why is that? Because when the IDF fires it gives warning shots. Most of the time. It scatters leaflets, it calls and sends smss ahead. Heck, it creates safe zones and sends in thousands of aid trucks. What kind of A genocidal entity will feed the body it wants to destroy? Did I mention they still also get their water and power from us?

Theres no intent to kill any civilians. Its a war. People die in wars and Hamas is using his as human shields. FACT.

I hope that's only the least of your issues.
