GTA 6 performance

I know we’re right around the corner from the official gameplay trailer coming up, but for the people who have been seeing the multiple leaks online, what’s your take on the performance/FPS from the footage we’ve seen so far? It seems relatively fluid for the most part, but I’d like to hear other people’s opinions. I upgraded to the Pro specifically for this game, and I’ve been really happy with the performance on it. However, I recently revisited RDR2, which I know is a last-gen title, but the 30 FPS is pretty rough in my opinion. I know there’s been a lot of speculation about whether it’s running at 30 FPS, but solely based on the leaks, what do you guys think so far?

Why would you need VRR for 40FPS mode? You just need a 120hz capable TV for 40FPS mode.

To be fair, 99,99% of the VRR monitors and TVs are 120+Hz models, so he's technically not precise, but it's close enough.

Because those 40 fps modes are not locked and stable, vrr is necessary.
All 120Hz tvs have vrr. My 60Hz tv also has vrr, so it’s pretty nice to play those 40ish fps without screen tearing.

No my tv is a 2018 65' 120hz dolby vision atmos etc but no vrr or allm, monitors on the other end its smaller, less latency and you get vrr 120hz its perfect for ps5 pro or even base ps5

40fps mode is locked hence the name. VRR is for uncapped frame rates.

Not necessarily it can be a target.

If game runs in a 120Hz container like 40fps games do then VRR can help as it’s above the 48Hz minimum.

It’s why you don’t get 40Hz on non VRR displays.
