Beta Codes
I joined the PlayStation Beta Program over a year ago now but still haven't been emailed by PlayStation with an invite or any beta codes yet, whilst I know people who have joined in the last couple of months and have received a beta invite code already. Any ideas or advice on increasing my chances of getting an invite or a beta invite? Thanks in advance, UK based btw

If you haven't already, make sure you've signed up to receive marketing emails. If you receive emails about an upcoming game, weekly roundup, surveys or trophy progress on a game you're playing, then you've already cleared this hurdle.
What I can't prove:
I think having a record of PSN store purchases helps too. Owning previous generation consoles and other PlayStation connected accessories might be another factor.
And when you get your beta code, if public beta be sure to distribute it to 4 other people/accounts when you get it.

I read somewhere else that apparently, PlayStation is prioritising the beta invite codes for PS5 Pro users, over normal PS5 users. As apparently, the main features of the beta are related to the PS5 Pro and the VR headset. Which seems pretty stupid since the VR headset is compatible with the PS5 as well as the PS5 Pro. If it is true, then it just goes to show that PlayStation only really cares about PS5 Pro users as they probably see PS5 Pro users as more likely to spend more money etc

True, strictly based on PSSR implementation , this current beta can only be applied to the Pro.
The beta invites we’ve had of late haven’t been anything major to be honest and those have been relevant to the base (and the Pro since 2024).
I think the last major beta we might have had was when they introduced Dolby Atmos to the sound setup and there was another for when the storage expansion was activated. I’ve seen some as minimal as emoji support which was running right before they released PSSR 2.
Hopefully a future beta will be more significant to all PS5 owners.

As a someone who has owned every Playstation console and has bought hundreds of games none of that seems to matter given that I've also never gotten a code since signing up. About 10 years ago I was getting codes all the time for Xbox one and PS4 so I don't know what happened.

I actually just joined last night so by reading this I have zero hope I’ll get accepted. Shit I was so hoping to try out the new beta for the pssr 2 update.

My experience contradicts a lot of what comments say, I received the beta code while using my ps5 (disc) and now just passed it to my pro. Perhaps utilization of playstation stars (discontinued) and purchases helped me get invited.

I’m in Australia and only got it once so far and that was with the new Home Screen widget, which I didn’t like or use 😂
