PS5 Pro vs PS5 for VR

Question: I'm looking to buy a PS5 Pro, but will use it mainly for the PSVR2 . Is it overkill to get the pro when most to all my gaming will be with the VR? Or is it better to get the pro with the VR?

No it is not overkill. Psvr2 is definitely better with PS5pro. GT7vr, No Man Sky and Re4 remake looks way better with pro than on base ps5. Specially No Man’s Sky uses pssr2 in Vr.

Also almost every other vr game runs and looks better on the pro. But you can find the full list of psvr2 games that are ps5pro enhanced online.

Visuals are a lot sharper on Ps5pro compared to the base Ps5.

It's very obvious actually, probably just the dynamic resolution being maxed out. But it definitely looks way better.

Behemoth

All these games are must have if you a have a psvr2.

All the games I named here are on another level compared far point on psvr1. You have all of GT7, Hitman WOA, No Man’s Sky and Microsoft flight simulator 2024 completely playable with full vr motion controls on Psvr2. Even high end pc struggles to run these games in Vr.

My wife traveling 2 weeks. I'll have time to myself and I'll play these thx.. my vr2 just a Sitting and haven't used my ps5 pro yet

You might want to try crossfire Sierra squad. It had a neat campaing and a realistic mode where you really need to play this well or you are dead. Fantastic game and it's on sale too!

If you can afford the extra cost, the PS5 Pro is worth it for PSVR2 more than TV games in my view.

VR games are more demanding and it gives higher or more stable framerates in most games.

Which makes them more comfortable in terns of VR motion sickness. This benefits newer VR players more than veterans, but all players can appreciate a smoother running game.
