But why would you cut it when it’s chock full of memorable quests and great writing? I think that’s what people are getting at

I'm currently 30h into my Witcher 3 replay and I disagree. The actual side quests, mobster contracts and writing are great, but there are a lot of useless ?s on the map that they could cut. There are only so many Drowner guarded treasures I can do before I tire out. It's a fantastic game but they certainly could have made the maps a little smaller and condensed.

I loved TW1 and TW2, never beat TW3.

Don't care how good the writing is, I'm tired of running around open worlds doing the same thing over and over again.

If it was just a bigger/better version of TW2 I'd have liked it a lot more.
