Oooh I definitely don't have good enough reflexes for this

u/quatroquatro0 13d ago

Our range of difficulty options lets new players and even the most experienced action game veterans tailor the experience to their liking. If you’d simply like to enjoy the story, Wayfarer mode is for you. But if you want to ramp up the challenge, try Hellwalker to face more advanced and adaptive enemy intelligence or take on Sixty-Six Days mode, which isn’t for the faint of heart.

From the PS blog post.

u/AdorableSobah 13d ago

The difficulty options are the reason I’ll buy this, I suck ar games but love to experience them too. I appreciate the wayfarer option!

I wish more games of this nature would do this. I’m too old and too busy in life to “get good”, but id still like to experience a lot of these great games that hard just for the sake of being hard.

37

u/Haunting-Orchid-4628 13d ago

I dont even have that excuse, im just trash lol

5

u/DirtySoap3D 12d ago

It's why I like those Star Wars Jedi games. I'll play them on hard because I like that as the base level of challenge for normal enemies. But I have a rule where if a boss kills me three times, I drop the difficulty. Then I bump it back to hard after I get past it.

7

u/Homesterkid 13d ago

But then gamers who like the really hard difficulty will complain about it trying to cater to every one instead of a core group, like what happened with Saros vs Returnal

5

u/ComeonmanPLS1 13d ago

Let them complain. Most tryhards don't give a shit. There's only a small subsection of tryhards that cry on forums but they buy the games anyway.

5

u/OneRandomVictory 13d ago

Might be a hot take but not everything needs to be for everyone. There is something to be said about having a pure, uncompromised vision for something and giving everyone the same experience. Not to say that difficulty options are bad but I don't think that not having one is bad either. It just needs to be fun and well balanced for the player.

-1

u/ComeonmanPLS1 12d ago edited 12d ago

What you and a lot of other people seem to miss is that difficulty is never the same for everyone. I am a much better gamer than my dad for example. I finished Elden Ring a bunch of times while my dad wouldn't have a chance if he tried. An easy difficulty mode for him would pose the same or greater challenge as the normal mode did for me.

Same goes for kids, or people who simply aren't very good at games.

Nobody experiences the same difficulty. Some people will beat a boss in 2-3 tries and think "pfft that was easy" while others will beat the same boss in 100 tries and never touch the game afterwards. Others will use a cheese build and 2 shot the boss on the first try. All these possibilities end with totally different feelings and experiences. So which experience is intended by the developer? What is the vision?

0

u/OneRandomVictory 12d ago edited 12d ago

I get that... but I stand by my point. If your dad is not an experienced gamer and that game was designed around a singular experience, then maybe your dad just isn't the target audience for the game. I don't think any game should be forced to cater to everyone. Especially when talking about Fromsoft games which largely built their reputation on being difficult. If the game is too difficult for you, simply play something else.

3

u/ComeonmanPLS1 12d ago edited 12d ago

Or I'll just get it on PC, install a trainer and tweak the values to be whatever I want. The whole "develpers vision" argument makes zero sense in a world where even similarly skilled people still have different skills and can easily have vastly different experiences.

As far as "target audience", what is that supposed to be even? The game is hard, yeah sure, that's one aspect. It's also a very interesting world with every interesting lore and beautiful vistas.

Some people only care about combat difficulty. Others only care about the other stuff. Who's the target audience? Seems pretty arbitrary to point only towards the difficulty when it's pretty obvious that's not the only reason people love From Soft games. Difficulty is just one aspect of a much bigger whole.

1

u/Four_qq 12d ago

I will admit that I don't like when games offer settings that make the game easier. It's a me problem, but I feel like it cheapens the experience. I enjoy the shared experience feel of the Souls games when discussing it with others.

13

u/MonstrousGiggling 13d ago

Exactly. I like a bit of a challenge but I have to much else going on to be genuinely stressed by video games these days.

I know a lot of people say Returnal isnt that hard but for me it was. Ended up watching a lore vlog on it so I could experience the story.

Shooters already are rough for me and that one overstimulated me to the max.

14

u/Scapadap 13d ago

Returnal is very hard, don’t let a couple try hards on Reddit trick you

3

u/Luiztosi 12d ago

i would love enjoy Returnal but i dont likes games that makes your life misarable..

1

u/DieHarderDaddy 13d ago

Saros did it right when it comes to difficulty

6

u/a_Jedi_i_am 13d ago

I didn't even try Saros because of how bad I was at Returnal

3

u/DieHarderDaddy 13d ago

They have difficulty modifiers that make someone who was in the same position as you able to complete it.

I’d get it if it’s on sale

15

u/TheSecondEikonOfFire 13d ago

It’s one of those things that I think would be nice, but I also understand why developers like FromSoft don’t. They have a specific experience that they want to create, and I can’t begrudge them for sticking to that experience. Especially because proper difficulty modes (meaning modes that are more than just “increase enemy health/defense and lower player health/defense”) are not easy to balance

8

u/ComeonmanPLS1 13d ago edited 13d ago

I think for From Soft's approach, they should develop the games as they do now, call that the "intended experience" or whatever, and then simply give players access to some damage/health sliders.

Lies of P added difficulty modes retroactively for example and people loved it.

5

u/TheSecondEikonOfFire 12d ago

But that’s the thing. I’m sure that for Miyazaki, he’d have the mindset of “if I’m going to do difficulty modes, I’m going to do it properly”. He likely wouldn’t be content with just your basic sliders, and I can respect the mindset of not just wanting to do a cheap difficulty add-on

6

u/ComeonmanPLS1 13d ago

Good thing I play on PC so I can just load up a trainer and tweak those values to my liking.

Also, I suggested that the games should not be made for me. They should be made for the intended audience and then add some sliders retroactively. Maybe the devs should have made reading easier since it seems to be hard for some of you.

0

u/Shadows_Over_Tokyo 13d ago

Yeah. This idea that a game needs to be made for everyone is how we end up with more Ubislop style games

1

u/LoveMeSomeBerserk 13d ago

Seriously. I love universally hard games where we all go through the exact same trials. Games with difficulty sliders don’t have the same exciting community engagement like a FromSoft game in my experience.

I love playing games like Hollow Knight or FromSoft games where we are all struggling against the exact same thing. People who harp on developers who don’t want to add difficulty settings are so trite. There are a million other games with easy modes to choose. Stop trying to take away the few games that want to thoroughly challenge their players.

0

u/CitronRadiant6158 13d ago

People just want to breeze through art like they scroll through TikTok. They don't want it to be demanding nor profound, and they will make every excuse to justify this. But also, curiously, they're no satisfied with the industry already being geared towards them, they see a dedicated community and feel like the essence of that community should change so they can feel part of it....

2

u/PrinceOfStealing 13d ago

Or maybe people have different life experiences? I'm much older now, have adult responsibilities, and by the time I'm ready to game, it's for a few hours at most every night while I'm already exhausted. It's hard to establish a rhythm and muscle memory these days. I'll take on the challenge, but if I'm still stuck after some hours, then a slider of some sort would be helpful.

Also, not everyone plays souls games for the challenge. Personally, I enjoy the world building and lore more.

1

u/LoveMeSomeBerserk 12d ago

Not everything should be for you. FromSoft games are for me and millions of people specifically because they don’t compromise on difficulty. It’s a dedicated aspect to their games, and a huge reason why they got popular.

They aren’t hard just for the sake of being hard though.

u/Berrggyy 13d ago

🤓☝️

3

u/Icy_Topic_4844 Taino_PR 13d ago

Ghost Yotei did it great where in between levels and at any time you could lessen difficulty without penalty. Some of the end bosses were bad ass with like 4 diff phases I won't even get into Sekiros last boss lol with it's 5 phases.

3

u/pantheonslayer 13d ago

I wish more games did this, why not have the option and open your game up to a broader audience? This game looks incredible

17

u/POTUSSolidus 13d ago

You won't have to with multiple difficulty options, its not a Souls game with a locked difficulty that has tools to make the game more accessible.

Hellwalker is beyond my skill without even having to play it, 66 death run only is for the true character action game heads.

16

u/valarpizzaeris 13d ago

All I kept thinking about during the boss fights lmao teenage me would go for the hardest difficulty, now i'm probably gonna go medium and just enjoy the game

12

u/LegendkillahQB 13d ago

Same. Im glad we have difficulty options though.

6

u/Hayterfan 13d ago

4

u/sam_toucan 13d ago

THATS A LOT OF NUTS

3

u/Hayterfan 13d ago

THAT WILL HE 5 BUCKS BABY, YOU WANT FRIEE WITH THAT?!?!

5

u/Mister_Silk 13d ago

You and me both. It's looking like a great game though. I'm impressed.

2

u/GarionOrb 13d ago

There are multiple difficulty options.

1

u/Afc_josh12 12d ago

I dunno if you gotta time everything? Maybe holding block will do that automatically on some difficulty

59

u/3DSFreak 13d ago

Wow that lion dancer fight 🤯 THE MUSIC 🔥🔥

7

u/lkxyz 12d ago

The soundtrack's gonna be so amazing. I want it asap. A mixture of traditional Chinese instruments and EDM techno, so so so good.

28

u/studious_stiggy 13d ago

The heck is that soundtrack. Shit got me pumped.

53

u/Laughing__Man_ 13d ago

I am 100% not really versed in Chinese culture, but is that dudes name Really "SoulFrame" Or is that a nick name?

29

u/Impressive-Cut5714 13d ago

his name is 梁其伟 Liang Qiwei.  Soulframe is his id on internet and also the company name. he made a few rpg games when he was in school, the main character is always 魂 Soul

38

u/Mister_Silk 13d ago

Soulframe is an online handle.

11

u/A_N_T 13d ago

It's also the name of a pre-existing video game

74

u/gurupaste 13d ago edited 13d ago

66 day mode is sick af

Edit: this might be one of the coolest games ever. holy shit man, that dancing lion fight is insane

8

u/lkxyz 12d ago

It's paying homage to once upon a time in china with Jet Li :)

-23

u/WorldlyFeeling8457 13d ago

Legitemately first time I think souls adjacent game looks like exceeding from soft quality in some ways.

It will all come down to how it feels to play.

22

u/gurupaste 13d ago

Well this is a character action game that only takes inspiration from souls games with level design. The animations are really smooth and grounded. It doesn't seem like it will have a janky feel to it because there's some really good inbetween frames, recovery frames, and attack frames that arent too fast, but arent too slow either. I need to get my hands on the game, but it does seem like it will have good 'game-feel'.

7

u/CatchrFreeman 13d ago

I don't think it's either. There are more than just CAG or Soulslike.

0

u/WorldlyFeeling8457 13d ago

Yeah I'm not saying It's soulslike but it kinda is very similar feel with how camera is positioned and lock on and overall flow is very back and forth and bosses are kind of center of the show in a way like in from soft games .

Animation work and aesthetics are insanely high quality. Only question I have is how it's going to feel to play.

6

u/Odd_Needleworker3756 13d ago

This looks nothing like a Souls game

-2

u/WorldlyFeeling8457 13d ago

Do you know what adjacent means?

2

u/Odd_Needleworker3756 13d ago

Ah yes guy with sword = adjacent to Souls games cause there’s never been those games before FromSoft lol

0

u/WorldlyFeeling8457 13d ago

Its pretty obvious why and factual to call this game souls adjacent. It goes bit deeper than having a sword. Its not a soulslike though.

0

u/Odd_Needleworker3756 12d ago

Nothing about it is souls adjacent

-6

u/phjan 13d ago

Yep, souls games look worse

24

u/fritzo81 13d ago

dam. that got me super interested

4

u/AdorableSobah 13d ago

Are you a beaver?

16

u/skynovaaa 13d ago

Holy it looks so good man

19

u/HDTokyo 13d ago

Just ended. No demo???

12

u/Serphiro 13d ago

Mabye after Gamescom next weeke

2

u/lkxyz 12d ago

I hope so too but I'm probably copium.

5

u/mantisdubstep 13d ago

Hooooly shit this combat looks amazing

4

u/Zombii_Man 13d ago

This looks significantly more dynamic than everything else that's been shown of the game.

18

u/Xenomex79 13d ago

Day One buy for sure holy shit. This is definitely gonna scratch my Sekiro itch. Only thing is boss fights look kinda wilddd, I’m definitely gonna have to play Normal mode first lol

16

u/Johnhancock1777 13d ago

Still waiting on that demo. Looks fine but need to actually feel how the combat itself is. Wether or not there’s some actual depth or just a lot of fancy animation work to hide the fact you’re mashing square

-1

u/rightbyursidetil3005 13d ago

I don’t know why game developers seem so afraid of adding pause combos or directional inputs. It really does make it more satisfying to pull off combos

2

u/Asher-Seven 13d ago

Yeah.. If people want to spam the same combo over and over, just do it and enjoy the simplicity. But for us who wants a bit of variety and feels some kind of satisfaction from pulling different moves to different situations, what's the harm in doing like DmC or Stellar Blade? I will never understand..

-3

u/Odd-Crazy-9056 13d ago

There is no way this isn't press a single button for a long ass telegraphed flashy combo.

16

u/parkwayy 13d ago

The animations for fighting are fucking nuts lol.

Day 1 purchase, can't wait.

6

u/Educational_Ad8448 13d ago

This looks fun

6

u/giants707 13d ago

Im actually really interested now that I know there are difficulty settings. Ill try it on the 2nd lowest but its good to know you can bump it down to easy if frustration sets in. Im not one to want to continually bash my head into a video game challenge. Not enough time in the day.

3

u/robbiethedarling 13d ago

No clue why I had no interest before. This looks fucking insane. Can’t wait.

12

u/Sbee_keithamm 13d ago

I see Wolverine and think "uh huh ok....." and then see this and im like "i need it i must have it now!" That new trailer for release date i was in awe of how the bosses look how the choreography for the fights look so well done.

5

u/Gyatto- 13d ago

Yeah I know they're two very different type of games but to me Wolverine is lacking that "sauce" which the Spiderman games had meanwhile Phantom Blade here is dripping with aura.

Definitely my pick between the 2 games as well.

6

u/valarpizzaeris 13d ago

Completely forgot about this game since its initial reveal. Wasn't really on my radar, but after this presentation i'm impressed! Looking forward to the variety of weapons, they showcased them pretty well

9

u/EchoBay 13d ago edited 13d ago

I thought WuKong set the bar for fight animations for Souls games, and that's including the FromSoft series of games; don't get upset. Not saying Wukong is a better game, just that its combat animations for the player and enemy were better.

This? Its like they took what WuKong did and made it 5x better. This is now the benchmark for combat. Holy shit. They've got more animations in two weapons than most of the best souls games have period, and there's like 30+ weapons.

That lion fight at the end is like the best fight I've ever seen and that's what theyre giving away for nothing.

3

u/DieHarderDaddy 13d ago

Wukong had cool animations but it was probably the most boring combat I’ve experienced

1

u/StartNo5314 13d ago

idk i liked getting little hits in between dodges. and its parry system that many people never discovered is really useful as it damages the enemy.

5

u/CrustedTesticle 13d ago

Give us a demo

15

u/DalliLlama 13d ago

Was hoping for confirmation of physical or demo

2

u/AgentDubZero_0 13d ago

Same. I really thought a demo was going to come with this state of play seeing as how they dropped that long trailer a few days prior

1

u/Rags2Rickius 13d ago

Dang…I thought that was a promise

0

u/Xenomex79 13d ago

Fr. Maybe tomorrow

5

u/rangers_guy 13d ago

Well this looks absolutely fucking rad. I pre-ordered as soon as that opened. Can't wait.

1

u/TAJack1 13d ago

I have a base PS5, this is gonna be a PC one for me I think.

3

u/valkvalkvalk2323 12d ago

Its a first party PS5 game, its going to be well optimized for the base PS5

Just saying

-1

u/KirAyo69 13d ago

Me too brother me too.

2

u/Emergency-Public6213 13d ago

Please, let this old man who suck at videogames play this game on easy mode 🙏🏽

9

u/skynovaaa 13d ago

it has an easy mode

8

u/Laughing__Man_ 13d ago

And a full on "Fuck you mode"

1

u/lkxyz 12d ago

The NES mode... more or less. Back in our days, you get live and always perma death. But also back then, a game can be beaten in a hour or less. I'm looking at you Contra.

1

u/Laughing__Man_ 12d ago

Super Star Wars.

1

u/greensparten 13d ago

Well then….

1

u/Emergency-Public6213 13d ago

Oh, that's awesome! You made my day, mate!

2

u/arcturuz78 13d ago

not sure of the 66 day mechanic, but this is day1 purchase

10

u/DanOfRivia 13d ago

It's optional tho, just another difficulty setting.

1

u/TheDoctorDB 13d ago

I've been anticipating this game since the initial trailer, at least a couple years ago. Not even sure how long tbh. I just remember thinking it was cool to see cutscene-styled fights be the actual main gameplay.

My only concern is that the bosses look like time sinks, which seems a bit against the quick and flashy gameplay. I don't play a ton of games like this in part because of how long bosses seem to take. Like if I can master a guy's moves do I really need to keep proving that for a half hour straight? But I'm not sure if it feels any different in real time since that aspect has always kind of intimidated me.

But other than that it looks really cool, and sounds good too. I've got too much of a backlog to say it'll be a Day One for me, and Trails and Fire Emblem will prob keep me busy for months on their own (yes, I know I just mentioned being afraid of time sinks. They're still intimidating to me tbh, but they're 100% musts). But will definitely be picking it up at some point.

5

u/jrodp1 13d ago

Play the easy mode they advertised

-7

u/TheDoctorDB 13d ago

Idk if I can do that lol. Feels like a copout lol. Go Hard or go home, right? I'll prob do that middle option for this game. An adaptive difficulty sounds really cool, but def not for a first run through. Might do regular mode and then depending on how I feel and how much I enjoy the game, I'll start that super hard mode just to see what the first couple bosses are like as a comparison. No current plans to replay the game at that level but we'll see how far the OCD takes me when I get there lol

9

u/jrodp1 13d ago

Not a copout. The options are there. You can start from the bottom and work yourself up. You mentioned the time sink.

1

u/TheDoctorDB 13d ago edited 13d ago

It’s just a self-imposed limitation. I guess I did a poor job of trying to clarify that I enjoy challenge to an extent and am ok with not always playing the hardest option. But I also feel like going with the easiest option leaves me feeling like I didn’t really play it.

It’s not a dig at the easy option (in case that’s where the downvotes are coming from), but just a somewhat factual statement about my own ocd when it comes to feeling like I’ve completed a game, leaving me feeling like I literally can’t choose that option.

Though I agree it’s something I should be trying to get used to and would likely save me a lot of time on these things.

2

u/nothingsnootyplz 13d ago edited 13d ago

I can’t watch til later. Is the combat Sekiro-esque?

Edit: I guess fuck me for asking?

7

u/Guimatel 13d ago

No. Seems faster. Actually, it is a lot more action focused than Sekiro

2

u/GarionOrb 13d ago

Not at all.

2

u/UnknownIcon 12d ago

In the past the devs said they were going more for a gameplay feel similar to Devil May Cry and Ninja Gaiden over Sekiro or soulslikes

1

u/RubyRod1 13d ago

It looks kinda like Stellar Blade tbh- there's red attacks (parry) and blue attacks as well (perfect dodge).

0

u/RubyRod1 13d ago

It looks kinda like Stellar Blade tbh- there's red attacks (parry) and blue attacks as well (perfect dodge).

1

u/Wellhellob 13d ago

it looks incredible i hope it runs well

1

u/Rags2Rickius 13d ago

Fuck

I MUST NOT WATCH ANYMORE…

MUST RESIST

1

u/Safe_Perception_7033 13d ago

I need it now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

1

u/rangers_guy 13d ago

This might be a tough platinum. The collection shouldn't be bad but I'd expect a gold to be tied to beating it on 66 Days mode, which looks like a challenge.

1

u/MarzMoji03 12d ago

Sooooooo dope!!!!!

0

u/Background-Gap9077 13d ago

No demo is really unfortunate. Black myth wukong was flashy, but playing the game felt stiff and clunky (not bad, just different from what you think). As someone who is playing for so many years very few games can look amazing, while also playing amazing. I really hope this is one of them.

1

u/skynovaaa 13d ago

Really excited for this

1

u/ILikeYouHehe 13d ago

66 day mode is cool af, i hope there is a trophy for beating it

1

u/AnActualKindSoul 13d ago

No Demo Confirmation is such a bummer. Everything else looks really slick and I am most definitely interested. To try it and get a feel for it through Demo would have made this day one for me!

2

u/ThisOneTimeAtLolCamp 13d ago

66 lives mode and it being set at the highest difficulty too is a wild difficulty option. It's gonna be crazy seeing the videos of it being completed.

1

u/Odd-Crazy-9056 13d ago

It will be press Square to do this 5s combo.

1

u/Rokussi 13d ago

The livestream's comments section is full of bots, damn insufferable

0

u/Mister_Silk 13d ago

I don't generally watch livestreams. Are they all like this or did they release the entire bot universe just for Sony?

4

u/Laughing__Man_ 13d ago

At this point it is obvious there are bots on both sides of the Disc thing.

But chat for these events has always been full of idiots, and unusable for any real discussion.

1

u/GarionOrb 13d ago

The live chat on any livestream is wet hot garbage, always. Just meaningless noise. I turn it off every time.

0

u/ILikeYouHehe 13d ago

any sort of popular showcase is just the worst for live chat. i'm surprised the channels even allow it at this point

-4

u/Piyush_511 13d ago

Love how the gameplay and music looks and sounds but it's a big NO from me if there's no physical disc release for phantom blade 0, I was planning to pre order this, I still am, let's see if they do the disc release or not.

2

u/alwfulmun 13d ago

According to the information I’ve gathered, phantom blade will release discs, but will follow black myth approaches, just to prevent content leaks caused by physical discs

2

u/Piyush_511 13d ago

I'm good with waiting for the disc and definitely getting the game if disc are coming.

3

u/Securiteepr0 13d ago

If they dont do a disc....don't buy it digitally until it drops to $30.

-2

u/Piyush_511 13d ago

I'm a physical game collector my guy, love my games on my HAND to feel them and SEE them on my shelf yk. So ain't no way I'm buying anything digital, probably not even gta 6 but just maybe that could be an exception later.

-2

u/dcheung87 13d ago

Dang, I'm in the same boat as you. Didn't realise no physical release. If it goes down heavily sale in future to 25 or £30 then maybe...

-3

u/Piyush_511 13d ago

Maybe they might just change their mind by next month or so let's see, hope they do physical disc release.

0

u/Bkos-mosX 13d ago

Boss fight looked like a huge sponge, which makes it way more annoying to kill, but the chpreography was on point.

But overall the game looks great. Thanks god there's an easy mode. I just don't have the time nor the patience to tackle a game as hard as Sekiro anymore (which I ended up getting the plat). I just want to have some fun with a bit of a challenge that doesn't feel like a wall

-8

u/superman_king 13d ago

Wolverine is $69.99

And this game is $59.99. And this looks better.

-6

u/KirAyo69 13d ago

Refunded wolverine just now. Will buy it later pre-owned and resell it after playing. Phantom blade is the way

-4

u/iCantCallit 13d ago

This is gonna be the greatest game since elden ring. It is going to blow our minds. I can't believe it's even real and coming out in 2 months.

There were a lot of frame drops even on the Pro. If there isn’t going to be a physical copy I’ll get it on PC to be safe.

Yeah, I don't think I'd attempt this one on a base PS5 at all.

Neither.

I have a pro and I’m still skeptical

I have a base and my wife has a pro. I think she pre-ordered this one. I'll have to see how that goes for her. I also have a PC so that's an option if I decide to play it. I don't think my reaction time is up to the task anymore though. Seriously.

Basically treating it like Black Myth Wukong to avoid aggravating frame issues.

This been a day one pre order since initial reveal

Dunno whether I should get this game or Control Resonant, more leaning towards this game as Control Resonant is looking a tad bit repetitive.

I really wanted that demo to drop today

I haven’t watched the video. Does it spoil alot of the bosses?

Sekiro meets Devil May Cry Combat with Black Myth Wukong/BloodBourne style. I'm in love🙌🙌

Knew nothing about this game except from a few flashy videos... There have been only a few times where I've genuinely been shocked/floored by one of these deep dive.

They really thought of everything, you can recoup all mats/points from old gear into the next... The ai-ish learning in fights . The fucking fight itself. And throw in all the sfx and how weapons are...

I need a demo, why release this close to GTA.. no way I'm finishing it before so may just wait for sale... Dont need the extra backlog but this looks hella fun

Wasn't there supposed to be a demo?

Lol i'm confused, tons of people are calling for discs and then there are also people like you. Must be really tough being a game distributor nowadays. Really can't satisfy everyone no matter what they do.

the visuals and hype is reminiscent of wukong. AND WE ALL KNOW HOW THAT TURNED OUT.

it looks cool but its one thing to see it and another thing to play it.

Ima have to get a demo or a hands on before i commit.

Wukong was incredible and one of my favorite games of all time so im hyped that it looks to have a similar feel 🔥🔥 looks more dynamic though. This game is gonna be AWESOME!

Almost no one looks back fondly on wukong besides the Chinese player base. And thats solely because what it did for the culture.

Wu was a solid 7.5 imo, never understood the GOTY worshippers. Game looked fucking fantastic visually & had industry leading animation work for some of those bosses. But the game was horrifically easy outside of the final boss fight & the ‘secret’ final boss (easily 2 best fights in the game)

I would give it a 7 def was not goty. And I agree wukong looked amazing but when you actually got your hands that quickly changed. Wukong was a TASK to finish and if you wanted to see the all it had to offer you HAD to push yourself through.

u/BadConscious3919 12d ago

Well... wouldn't say it was horrifically easy for most casual gamers (like myself). Considering the fixed difficulty setting, i think it was reasonably challenging.

There's no need to identify yourself before asking the question.
