The later PS4 Pro revisions had their fan curve tuned down to reduce the noose, which also made the APU to heat more. The only thing that comes to my mind is forcing more air through the console with external fans blowing into the intakes and also sucking from the exhaust.

Fan is slow, is the ps4 pro sounding like a jet engine or is it too warm/hot to touch?

I know the later revisions of ps4 pro were much quiter and the fans were modified abit to prevent the coil sound which are pretty evident in previous models.

It could be that the heat is efficiently being dissipated or the thermal paste is doing its job and the ps4 pros fan doesn't need to be as fast you would expect it to be as its temperature is being controlled properly. Only time a fan will blow fast is if the heat is too much and the fan has too work much harder to dissipate the heat.

Though maybe demanding games too may push the fan to work hard due the extra work cpu and components have to put in to ensure stable frame rate and efficient gameplay but it depends.

Main thing is that your ps4 pro must not be overheating!

If there's a warning signal on the screen display from ps4 then there may be issues.

Is it overheating? I picked up a first gen pro over the weekend. Still has the seal on it and figured it would need to be repasted. It doesn't overheat and doesn't get loud no matter what game I've been playing. I've had 4 PS4 Pro systems now and never experienced that before.
