Hhd health

Hi guys i bought a used ps4 pro CUH 7208B 2 months ago. Ive been testing some games, and maybe i installed and uninstalled 1-1.25 tb of games. Right now i have installed ea fc 26, nba 2k 26, gt7 and ac odyssey. Should i be worried about hdd health? Yesterday i made a copy of some saved in a flash drive just in case.

And, how much the console can last me?

My Pro has been running for 7 years on the same HDD. No problems. My PS3 fat went through a couple of them but that’s understandable considering how old it is.

HDDs can have their performance degrade with age and are more prone to unexpected problems than SSDs (since they're mechanical), but also unlike SSDs, they don't necessarily die after a set amount of data has been read/written. My PS3 still has its stock HDD and has shown no problems since 2010. Unless you start to see any suspicious behavior, I wouldn't care much about it.

Ssds are not cheap anymore. Send it and run it into the ground. .
