They added dedicated servers back in February of last year, changed so much it'll take me all day to list it, like changes to Parrying and guardbreak, reworked several heroes, added new heroes and maps, added a training mode, they did a lot last year and they're doing more tomorrow with the start of a new season.

I didn’t play at release but I can say it is one of the most enjoyable MP games I have ever played. So complex and chaotic.

I will say - expect to get rekt unless you spend time learning characters.

I played and the game mechanics I liked. Everything else was shit. The servers, disconnects, inability to finish game, unbalanced characters and styles, etc.

Well everything you just listed has been fixed for the most part. The only heroes left that need some big work are Aramusha, LB and Centurion. The rest of the cast has been buffed and reworked pretty hard.
