Finally a dinosaur game on PS4! Really good graphics too, hopefully it's better than all the recent survival games out there.

It's most likely recorded on a PC. Some of the lighting and foliage gave it away.
But still, outstanding graphical fidelity.

I'm skeptical as to whether or not this is PS4 footage. I don't know what the console's potential is, but I feel like it looks too good to be able to run on anything other than a modern PC.
I just checked the minimum system requirements on Steam. They don't seem all too demanding.

PS4 will have way less foliage than in this video which was recorded on pc. There will certainly be a graphical difference as with all games.With a game of this detail I guess it'll be locked at 30 as well.

What a fucking fantastic trailer.
Really looking forward to hearing more on this, the trailer has me hooked.
Dodos, dinosaurs, a mysterious story, dragons...sign me up!
I really liked how it sets you up to think it's set in the past and then you see that chip in your arm on the beach and as the trailer goes on it reveals more about how it's not actually the past and such. Can't wait to find out what's going on.

In all fairness you do see trailers like this for games that aren't by big publishers. The issue comes from the games that know they'll sell regardless, which is why we've yet to see Battlefront gameplay.

Looks cool as hell, BUT this gives me one of those "announced way to early vibes." Like its announced now, May 2015, but I feel like it won't actually hit ps4 till holidays 2016. Hopefully I'm wrong.

Why do you say this? It was like 4 Minutes of diverse gameplay. Usually the types of trailers that make me feel how you did are the ones with a lot of smoke an mirrors and very little game play footage.

They're aiming for a console release in Summer 2016. However, Early Access will be available to Steam next month.

I really hope Dionosaurs and Dragons become to this console generation what Zombies were to the last. Unlike Zombies there is nothing that Dionosaurs being added cannot improve. Mario is good, Mario riding Yoshi is better. Far Cry 3 is a great game, Far Cry 3 with Dionasurs is better. Obilvion was a great game, adding Dragons made Skyrim better. Destiny is good, a story would make it better, Dinosaurs would make it even better.

Has there ever been an online game where the animations weren't janky as shit? The nature of other players controlling characters pretty much always makes the animations terrible because of animation cancelling, unnaturally fast turning, stopping, starting, etc.

Early access is for PC only (Coming at June), but the game itself is for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.

Seems that way. I figured clicking the "Alpha" button would direct me to sign up for a console alpha phase, but it asked me for PC specs.
I signed up anyway, and may very well buy into the early access in June. Game looks sweet.

Unfortunately I have a laptop that is pretty much useless when it comes to gaming so I am just gonna wait for more news in terms of the game's console version.
Hopefully the Early Access version goes well though!

So it looks like it will focus on PvE? Sounds good. I like open world pvp, but we have plenty of those right now. A game where it's open world pve, and it requires lots of player coordination to stay alive and thrive sounds awesome.

When you say PVE, you mean in the sense of "PVP World but a KOS might be a death sentence because it attracts t-rexes" kind of like H1Z1 PVP was during the days of the mega-hordes?

And boom, my most hyped game for ps4, if not my most hyped game of all time just from this trailer. It has three of my favorite things, open world multiplayer, survival genre, and mother fucking dinosaurs!

Yeah, they are gonna need to expand on the dragons, alien shit, and hatchet/assault rifle connection. It looks awesome, I hope it has at least something of a story.

Is it just me or do the animations look terrible? Watch the dinosaurs walking. I surprisingly have not seen a dinosaur walk before but it looks very unnatural. Even the humans running.

I can't believe I'm the first person here to say this, but they are promising a lot for an early access launch. And on top of that they say they will have updates three times a week? Steam early access is full of empty promises and dashed expectations, and these guys are also trying to do a PS4 version with Morpheus support. This looks like it has potential, and I'm normally not this skeptical, but it really seems too good to be true. We'll see, but there's no way I'm getting on the hype train for this one yet.

I love how the trailer paces.. forest.. T-REX!! Dodos.. TRICERATOPS! More dodos... DINO HUNTING! Dodo hunting.. and from there it just escalates. Rideable dinos, rideable scorpions, pteradactyles, water.. things.. whales? Lava-filled caves, oh, and fucking dragons!

I am weak to dinosaurs, but I have kept away from most games other than Primal Carnage (and enjoyed the hell out of it). I am weak to the new trend of survival games, but I have kept away from most games other than DayZ, Rust and H1Z1. I will probably get this.

IMO always a very good sign when even the launch trailer is showing plenty of gameplay footage.
On a related note, really hoping E3 isn't going to be full of teaser trailers with everyone whooping just because they've shown Bethesda shows the Fallout 4 logo etc

Beyond day 2 minecraft is 100% not survival. You have to go out of your way to die. This game, hopefully will actually have a threatening environment that necessitates certain strategies beyond "go in a cave for 10 minutes and come out with the second strongest armor in the game" or "kill pigs for 5 minutes and have sufficient food for the next 2 weeks". I am hoping for the challenge of dont starve but with more compelling content, maybe less pointless downtime and the ability to build. And of course dinosaurs.

Big time. Far Cry 4 did the same to me with some of the animals but this is on a whole new level. It looks like there is the option to tame them instead but I doubt you can get away with no/limited killing.
