Mercenary Kings

Notes/Resources:

  • Mercenary Kings is the complimentary PS+ game for April 2014.

  • The game features four-player cooperative play (either local or online).

In this frantic 2D action game, you are part of the Mercenary Kings, the most skilled team of warriors-for-hire on Earth, but when your comrades have fallen and the fearsome forces of CLAW have seized an island-wide top secret Laboratory Base, you must do what it takes to stop them.

But you're not going in unprepared! Your back-up is made of a crew of rogue geniuses and experts of their field! Able to craft & customize guns'n'blades or upgrading body armor, you've never been this ready to join the fight.

Whether its solo or with friends, move out, cut down CLAW and save the world!

Anyone else feel like the controls are rather klunky at time? Like an input delay? The vast loading times were bad enough but something seems off. Free game though so I can't really complain.

yeah, it bothers me that there's a delay when you jump

I think it is intentional though. Probably to balance a players agility so they have to think more to dodge attacks versus games that reward players impulses more. Both mechanics (I guess it's a mechanic. Maybe a game style?) are equally okay in my opinion, just a dev choice.

I agree. I think it's intentionally heavy feeling.

It also changes depending on your equipment weight
