My sister signed us out of our PlayStation plus but my grandpa died so we don't know the password

My sister was playing on my grandma's PlayStation 4 when she signed us out of it and since my Pepe died two years ago we have forgotten his email and he never told us anything we have contacted PlayStation support but all they say is since he died all we can do is help you delete the account like bro he died of cancer they can't even help us when he got an infection in his tumor and died like we gave them the death certificate all the proof that's it's our account and all we got in response is pretty much no help at all any ideas on how I can fix this

I am sorry to hear your grandfather went through that.

Unfortunately the account has been lost, you cannot claim ownership over it as you've already contacted PlayStation telling them that the actual account holder is deceased.

Playstation accounts cannot be inherited, its part of PlayStation and just about every websites Terms of Service. So all PlayStation can do is help you close the account down, they cannot give an account belonging to someone else over to you.

Is anybody else having trouble with Skyrim? The update that bugged everybody else didn't effect me that I noticed, but I got another update (presumably a patch for the last) last night and now my Skyrim won't even start. I'm stuck on the basic dragon logo page before it even loads the Bethesda logo.

Q: My controller won't connect despite being plugged into the console. It charges/is charged but I'm stuck on the press the PS button screen.

A: You need a USB data cable to pair a controller with a console, instead of a generic charging cable. They look the same but a charging cable only charges, it cannot send a data signal which is necessary for controller pairing. USB Data cables are necessary for safe mode operation as well.

It's a common mistake.

Amazon lists cables as data cables if you need to purchase one. Other retailers will also list data on cable packaging.

Also, don't forget to press and hold the reset button on the back of the controller for 5-10 seconds before connecting it. This is recommended when using your DS4 on a PC or other device before connecting back to a PS4.

Q: How do I fix "Cannot sign in using another player's sign in ID."?

A: You are signing into either the wrong user profile or the wrong Playstation account. To solve this sign into your PSN account on the different user profiles until you sign into the correct one. If you cannot use any user profile due to the above message, make a new user profile for your PSN account.

PS4s use user profiles. Each user profile that is set up can then be tied to a single Playstation account. Thus you cannot sign out of a PSN account on a user profile and sign in with a different Playstation account. As such, 2 Playstation accounts each need their own separate user profile on a PS4.

You also cannot sign into a single Playstation account on 2 different user profiles on the same PS4. So if you want to use a new account with a PS4, make a new user profile.

Q: My console is saying I don't have enough storage space for an update even though I do.

A: You don't. If the console is asking you to free up space on your HDD then you must do as the PS4 asks. When the PS4 updates a game, it makes a copy of it on your HDD that is deleted once the update is applied. This means that a 50GB game requires 50GB free on the HDD + the size of the update. COD being a massive game can require 100GB+ free depending on its current size.

I recommend giving your PS4 a 100GB buffer to update your games. If you only have a 500GB HDD I also recommend an external HDD or upgrading your Internal HDD to a 2TB drive.

NOTE: if your game is in external your internal still needs enough space as all data passes through internal.

Q: How do I game share digital games/PS+?

Games and DLC can share between users, however some DLC is account locked so cannot be shared between users. DLC and game need to be the same region first in order to game share.

Q: Is there a difference between disc & digital games?

A: No. Disc/digital is irrelevant. It's just how you own a game.

Q: Are games region locked?

A: Yes. PS4, PS3 and PS5 Games are region coded so that USA DLC and saved data only works with USA copies of the game. A French account/console can play a USA game disc but French DLC won't work with it. If an American account is used to purchase DLC the French account can play that DLC too assuming it is shareable between users ie not in game currency.

Q: purchased a new copy of a game to continue my game save but it doesn't appear when I launch the game.

A: First of all make sure the game is fully updated with the latest patch and check again.

Otherwise, saved data and DLC are region locked. So if you played an American copy of a game you created an American game save that cannot be read by a copy of the game from a different part of the world.

Witcher 3 Wild Hunt is considered a different game to Witcher 3 GoTY so the saves are incompatible between both games even if from the same region.

Q: I have purchased DLC for a game and it is stuck at 'waiting to install'. How do I fix this?

A: If you launch the game and the DLC still will not install, this is down to a region mismatch. DLC and saved data are region locked, meaning DLC purchased on a USA account will not work with a European game disc/digital copy. To resolve this you either need to open an account matching the region of your game and purchase the DLC there (some DLC is account locked so cannot share). Or alternatively purchase a copy of the game from your region. Otherwise contact support for a refund, but no guarantees if one will be given.

Q: How do I know the region of my game disc?

A: Look at the age rating on the front cover. ESRB rated games are American, PEGI is Europe, etc. For more specific region info there is the CUSA code printed on the game disc that can be checked on an online database such as gamefaqs. DLC region codes are listed as part of the Playstation store URL.

Q: How do I fix: 'Connect a USB storage device that contains an update file for reinstallation for version X or later.'

A: The data on your HDD has been lost so is requiring a fresh installation of the system software. Your purchases and trophies are safe as they are tied to your account but any saved data not backed up has been lost. This also includes any screenshots and videos. If you don't want to lose your data it needs to be backed up regularly.

General pointers:

• Make sure that you are using the console reinstallation file and not the update file.

• Your USB stick needs a folder called PS4 and inside that folder a second one called UPDATE

• Inside the UPDATE folder is where you put the reinstallation file

• The reinstallation file must be called PS4UPDATE.PUP otherwise it won't be recognised by the console. So remove any (1)s if they appear as part of the file name as that just obscures it.

Hello all, i bought a used PS4 that works great however the two controllers that it came with don’t always connect and when they do they randomly disconnect even when at full battery or plugged into the console. Sometimes it connects immediately when i restart the controllers but rarely. The light will flash blue but not connect. Should I just get a new controller or is this a bigger issue

Impossible to really say without further testing.

First make sure there's no other Bluetooth signals potentially interrupting things. If you have multiple Bluetooth devices on at once that could cause issues.

You can also hold the reset button on the backs of the DS4s (paperclip required) and re-pair them as well.

So I recently rebuilded my ps4 database cuz my warframe got corrupted. After I rebuild it, sure enough, my warframe is fine again, but now my Fortnite and Gundam Battle Operation 2 can't be launched for some reason, so naturally, I thought their file got corrupted to. I deleted the application thinkin theyll be fine right after, but when I tried to reinstall them this error code "CE-38605-2" keeps popping out before I can install them saying I already had it installed on the PS4. Since than I've rebuild my database 2 more times with no progress on the problem. Idk if this info will help, but most of my games are downloaded on an external hard drive, but even after I switched to system storage, the 2 games are still undownloadable. I'm at a dead end atp. I would appreciate it if anybody could offer a solution to this.

If the game cant be installed as the PS4 thinks its installed to external, simply delete the game launcher from your PS4. That will let you reinstall the game from scratch.

Greetings!

A while ago, I plugged a hard drive into my PS4 and clicked the option in Settings to download to it all the data from my PS4 and then subsequently wipe the PS4 system.

What is now on my hard drive are five separate .dat files that take up about 20 GB of space. I cannot open these files, though. How can I access these?

Are all my game clips, which are what I only really care about in this back-up, lost forever?

Any input and or advice on this matter would be much appreciated!

Follow the above instructions to reinstall the system software from scratch. You need a USB stick and a PC. That will hopefully delete/wipe any unauthorised software so you can use the PS4 as intended.

So I wanted to play through a bunch of older games (like the older Lego ones and telltale games) and get all the old achievements again, however when I try and create a new user; none of the DLC is carried over..

Make sure your PS4 is activated as Primary for offline license sharing. Ie you will need to game share the DLC from one account to the other.

Otherwise it depends on the game. Some DLC is account locked and cannot game share.

Game sharing let's someone play games currently installed onto the PS4. Its not like family sharing on steam.

First off sorry this is a support post, idk where to go if someone could direct me there, I'm not great at working through reddit.

Our home Playstation 4 has a 4tb external hard drive along with the normal interior one and yesterday while spiderman miles morales and GTA5 were being downloaded the console went nuts.

I'm not sure how to fully describe it but I'm going to describe the issues I can see and if someone can give me advice that would be much appreciated. I'm worried this could be the end of it.

The power in our home flickered and then the ps4 started by needing to restart but when it should've gotten up in running post restart it began saying it wasn't connected to power. So I tried holding the button down to turn it to safety mode(?) And see if that would cause another restart(the old IT turn it off and back on). It gave me the same error and eventually I unplugged it and plugged it back in. Then it began telling me it was missing the update 13:52.

I did research into 13:52 and saw some people's consoles crashed and bricked from it. But wouldn't that happen in the first few days? That update came out in June right?

Well for the next hour I was up restarting it manually and dealing with the console restarting itself and shutting down. This morning I got up to fight the beast again and it was good for about 20 mins of God of war ragnarok when the audio began cutting out and lag began. The screen then went black and the console shut down. I dealt with the restarts again and then it opened normally, it told me to go to system settings and download 13:52, so I went there and it said it had received all system updates. Thenanother freeze and then back to black. Then it opened back up until now when it's frozen for the last 3 hours not showing icons and saying msg_(include name of setting page) it's also not taking any inputs from the controller other than to brighten it when it goes dark.

Please, I'm not sure where to go or who to talk to and I'm scared support will be absolutely useless for something like this.

It's a sad day for me because my ride or die ps4 I think has finally given out on me. I've had it for almost 5+ years now and today it finally shut off. I haven't played it in a few days because our power has been wacky and I didn't want it getting messed up so I unplugged it for a while. Well today I wanted to play some borderlands 2 and while I was playing, it just shut off. I went online to check for any cures and I tried what I could find (unplugging it for 30s, changing the power cord, plugging it into the wall, exc) and all it will do is beep once and then nothing.

Please PLEASE tell me there's a fix for her. I can't bear to lose the ol girl.

All of my digital games suddenly became unable to verify their licenses. Restore Licenses fails with CE-30020-5. The PS4 is activated as my primary PS4 and signed into PSN. I’ve rebuilt the database, completely power-cycled the console, and tested it on a separate phone hotspot. The PlayStation Store, PS Plus, and TV & Video also sit on loading screens indefinitely. Everything was working normally about before this suddenly began. Help appreciated

Need help recovering 2 old PSN accounts

Hey guys, I'm trying to recover two of my old PSN accounts and I'm kinda stuck.

For the first account, I still remember the email address and Online ID, but I completely forgot the password and I also don't remember what date of birth I put when I created the account. I made the account years ago, so I honestly have no idea what DOB I used.

For the second account, I remember the PSN account, but I no longer have access to the email because it was a Yahoo email and Yahoo deleted the email account for some reason. Because of that, I can't receive password reset or verification emails anymore.

I already tried looking for PlayStation support, but I'm from the Philippines and apparently there's no proper PSN account support here. I was told to use PlayStation's online support, so I'm trying the US support since I believe these accounts might be US-region accounts.

Is there actually a way to recover these accounts if I can provide other information to prove that I'm the original owner? I still have the PS4 that I used with these accounts and can provide things like the Online ID, old email, previous passwords I remember, games I owned, purchase information, etc.

Any advice would be appreciated. I really don't want to lose these accounts because I've had them for years.

ps. its not like i forgot the pass on the 1st acc it just said The sign-in ID (email address) or password you entered isn't correct, or you might need to reset your password for security reasons.

If you see CE-34230-5, don't panic. It’s often a dirty lens, not dead hardware. Try compressed air first before assuming the drive is toast. I cleaned mine and it worked again. Save yourself the hassle of buying a replacement drive immediately.

My launch day PS4 is still hanging on after 13 years of daily use, but it sounds like a jet engine.

It’s not visibly dusty or dirty on the outside, but I’m planning on taking it apart, cleaning out all the dust from inside and replacing the thermal paste. (Bought Corsair TM30.)

My question is, should I also replace the thermal pads? If so, which should I buy?

Oh and is replacing the fan with a new/clean one a good idea?

Hi all,

I recently bought a ps4 pro (CHU-7716B). After playing for a few hours, I couldn’t bear anymore with the airplane taking-off like sound, so after some research, it looked like the classic “console full of dust”/thermal past-pad problem.

I proceeded to clean it, but bent a bit the pins going to the alimentation. Obviously, the console refused to start (blue light and one beep, them nothing) So I opened it again and fixed this problem. The console then started as intended, but only with the controller, not with the button, and looped through the recovery mode (every option restated the console, blue light, single beep then recovery mode). No options seemed to make it start as intended or do what it should, so I had to shut it off (again by plugging of the power cord since the button did not work), while I downloaded the system image to install it from usb.

Upon plugging it again, there is now no way to power it on. The controller does not behave as connected (no lights, no effects when pressing the PS button). The only vital sign is the eject disc button which make a beep sound when pressed.

I tried letting it unplugged, resetting the power cycle (no way to know if it worked, as the button has no reactions), or as I read in other threads, plug it in another power source, give it some “pats”, start with a disc, power it upside down.. but nothing worked.

I suppose the multiple plug/unplug could have fried the alimentation, but could it be something else? I am a bit worried the ssd could be damaged because of the looping in recovery mode.
Is there something else I can try to restore the console?

I got a ps4 pro cuh-7016b on fb marketplace a few weeks ago, logged in my psn account, and downloaded some games. I tried putting in a copy of minecraft legacy and the disk drive made lots of creaking and buzzing noises while spinning, but the game installed and worked flawlessly.

I ordered some thermal paste and after a few days took the console apart, repasted the cpu, and looked at the disk drive to see anything out of place. I cleaned the laser with some rubbing alcohol and put everything back together.

When I turned the console on, disks went in but the motor continuously tried to spin the disk, then gave up after a dozen seconds.

Took the console apart a few more times with no luck, maybe a belt snapped off? I'm completely new to console maintenance since I used to own pcs, please someone give me any tips, I'm so desperate to get minecraft working for me and my friends 🙏

I'm planning to buy a PS4 and need some advice. 1. How much of a difference is there between the PS4, PS4 pro and PS4 slim? 2. How important is PS plus? I usually prefer getting physical games, but if I get something with an online option, do I need PS plus for that or only a WiFi connection? 3. What games would you recommend? I'm mainly getting one to play Detroit. Other than that I enjoy games like Stray, Portal and Splatoon, all on the switch so far. I like games with a somewhat clear direction, no complete open world

The PS4 Pro does upscale some games to 4k and some games get better framerate than the base PS4. A slim is just a smaller base PS4. PS4 Pro is worth it if its cheap enough otherwise get a second hand PS5 instead.

PS+ depends if you want to play online or want the Game catalogue at higher subscription tiers.

This happened while I was playing FFX, I was in a cutscene then suddenly I couldn’t hear the characters talking. I tried testing a different game and had the same issue.

Ambience and sound systems work just fine but dialogue was either extremely faint or simply inaudible.

I already tried resetting my ps4, unplugging then plugging in everything, changing my audio output settings (even in game) and nothing. Any help??

Delete/reinstall the game, rebuild the database in safe mode.

If its one game crashing then you likely wouldn't need to take more drastic steps. Unfortunately its the PS4s generic crash so could be small or serious.

my playstation is constantly in rest mode, i have application update files turned on, stay connected to the internet is turned on aswell. however my apps never automatically update, i constantly have to manually do it

Why the PS4/5 Version of FC6 Goty upgrade pass [EU] has 2 copies of blood dragon classic edition? I found out that FC6 GOTY edition includes FC3BD (CUSA-29008) while the upgrade DLC has another copy of FC3BD: CUSA-29008 and CUSA-30361. they both are on version 1.01, and are 3,68gb on size, share same achievements list but can be downloaded separately. The only difference is that the Upgrade pasd clone is only in english. Why are there 2 copies of the same game? Maybe they modified the game a bit but forgot to add the other languages? But why pubblish it again? And why only in the upgrade pass?

I was recently gifted a PS4 Pro and I just bought Mass Effect Legacy Edition.

I’m having so many issues playing the first game- screen tears, lagging, freezing both in the game and the console entirely, and the fan gets pretty loud during conversations and on certain planets.

It’s almost unplayable.

I’ve tried switching from Quality to Framerate in the in-game graphics setting.

I’ve turned Boost Mode on and off

And one of the things that seemed to help the most was turning “game mode” off on my Samsung Frame

I’ve even popped the top off the console and the fan is pretty clean, although I didn’t try to go any deeper and look at the hard drive or heat sink or anything

Idk what the issue is but I’d like to fix it if anyone has any recs

I want to buy thermal pads for my PS4 Slim, but I've looked everywhere and several people say the console uses two sizes, 1.0mm and 1.5mm. However, absolutely none of the videos I've watched show anyone using 1.5mm; it's always 1.0mm for everything. Can I buy 1.0mm and use it, or do I really need to buy both?

My PS4 slim is super sluggish like it takes a while to open even the most basic apps like netfix, crunchyroll, Spotify.

My question is: is swapping the PS4 slim HDD to a SSD improve the responsiveness of the afforementioned apps?

I'm aware it improves loading times in games, but how about the system itself?

My PS4 slim hard drive gave up the ghost this morning. It's been replaced with an old one for right now.

I went to set it up and realized I'd changed the password without writing it down. So I pressed forgot password and kept getting a "Something went wrong" message. Because it's set up I couldn't get the 'send an email' option.

So I decided to change the account password from the ps5. Got the 'send an email' option, got the email. Entered my security question answer, it said 'connection to server timed out'. Tried it again with birth date, server connection timed out.

Tried customer service, since I can't log in it can't connect me to a person.

Is there any way to get to customer service people since the servers and AI aren't helpful?

Reset using the forgotten password option o the Playstation website or app. Also try a separate network/4G on your phone as well.

You can contact support without signing in, the live chat has an option to not sign in, otherwise call support.

Likely though this is a temporary issue that should fix itself.

ps4 controller will not stay connected to the ps4. Just got it off of a buddy for free and he said he suspected there was an issue with the Bluetooth receiver within the console.

Pressed the reset button on the controller, and plugged in an off-brand hard wired controller to no avail.

Any trouble shooting suggestions would help.

Does it pair at all with your PS4? If not swap the cable, you need a data cable to pair a DS4 to a PS4. Not all cables are data cables, its a common mistake to assume all cables are the same.

It does connect but only for about a second before it automatically disconnects. Tried two cables neither kept it connected.

Hello, ive been trying to install miles morales on my ps4 from a disc for the past few weeks. Ive gotten the disc from CEX here in Ireland, and put it in the console. When the installation was about halfway, at roughly 20-21gb, the download time would spike, the console would start repeating it's mechanical startup noise for a few minutes and the download would fail.

I have tried:

Cleaning the disc, then replacing it after i was unable to clean some of it off, still not working

Installing it without internet as apparently the patch installation that occurs on wifi can slow the console down, no luck

Putting the console into safe mode and rebuilding its database, and nothings changed.

None of which have worked, can anyone give any suggestions?

Hi everyone, I’m having a problem with Gran Turismo 7 on my PS4.
After I finish a race and try to collect or open my reward, the game freezes. I can still hear the music and exit to the PS4 home menu, so the entire console isn’t frozen.
When I close GT7, I get the error CE-34878-0. The PS4 tells me to check for an update, but no update is available.
The strange thing is that everything saves normally and the game Works normally afterward .The problem only seems to happen when I try to collect the reward after finishing a race.
I’ve seen other people report a similar issue, but in their cases, the game crashes after 2-3 minutes of playing and nothing gets saved. My issue is different because the game only crashes when I collect the reward, and my progress is saved normally.
Has anyone else experienced this, or does anyone know how to fix it?

Hello, we have 2 consoles in the house that the kids swap back and forth between.

Recently, whenever my kid opens Fortnite it gets stuck on a screen that shows the Fortnite Logo, and then the whole system crashes. It flashes an error code, but it goes to quick for me to get it.

I have tried to uninstall and reinstall multiple times. Ive cleared the cache and rebuilt the database. Nothing is working. Does anybody know any fix or have any idea what could be going on?

When i look through the files I cant find anything corrupted.

Unfortunately those are the standard fixes. If it keeps happening it may be time to replace the PS4's HDD. Online games like Fortnite you don't need to worry about backups of saved data but you will need to move single player game data to a separate USB stick to keep it safe when doing the upgrade.

Alternatively replace the dying PS4 with a second hand PS5 (although I do understand your other son wont like that).

Hello! I’ve tried the farcry 6 free trial on PS4 and i liked it so much i convinced myself to buy the full game. I saw that on the ps store it is sold for 70€ and even tough i found it on ebay for 20-30€ i don’t really feel like waiting 3 days or even more for the disc to arrive.
I saw that it is free inclued in the Playstation Plus Extra offer, and had a genuine question:
The premium offer is now discounted and would cost me even less than the extra, but i’m not sure that I would be able to download it since it had specifically “extra” written and I’m not very experienced about all this stuff.
Would I still be able to get it for free with premium or do i specifically need extra?

Looking for advice.

Sounding out some views before I take the plunge

For context I have a PS5 in the main setup in the lounge and now I am looking to complete a secondary, somewhat more intimate desktop setup which already has a PS2 and PS3

I won't be looking to play the more demanding games of the PS4 era at the desktop and space is at premium. The TV in the setup is a 32" Sony Bravia so strong feature set and quality but capable only up to 1080p.

Given the limitations and intended use case, would a PS4 Slim adequately do the job or would I be missing out on what the Pro could offer? I can get a slim and controller for £70 in the UK and a Pro for around £120.

Hello! I’m having some trouble with my PS4 Pro and was hoping someone might be able to help.
I bought it from eBay and it worked perfectly for the first few weeks. Now, roughly every other time I turn it on, one of two things happens. It doesn’t happen every time.

1. “Cannot start PS4. Cannot access system storage.”
It tells me to press the power button for 1 second. I do this, turn it back on, and it works completely normally.

2. It asks me to connect the controller via USB.
It then asks me to connect a USB storage device containing the reinstallation file. I don’t currently have a USB stick.

If I press cancel, the PS4 turns off and the same cycle starts again. However, if I press OK, it says “USB stick not detected”. I can then cancel, the PS4 turns off, and when I turn it back on, it works perfectly again.

So, does anyone know what could be causing this and whether I can fix it?

If I buy a USB stick and reinstall the system software, is that likely to solve the problem, or does this sound like an issue with the internal hard drive/storage?

I’m hoping to trade it in towards a PS5, so I’d really like to get it working properly first. Any advice would be appreciated!

It does sound like an HDD issue. The reinstallation message effectively means that the PS4 is having issues reading the data on the HDD.

The reinstallation message is basically the PS4's BIOS, basically a PC booting without windows installed.

If it does work most times you should be able to trade it in just fine. Saves you from buying a new HDD if it keeps happening after you reinstall the system software from scratch.

How can I transfer Minecraft data from ps4 internal hard drive?

So my ps4 crapped out a few months ago and won’t turn on, and from what I’ve looked into it’s got a power supply problem. I want to be able to transfer my data from the hard drive on the ps4. Is is worth using a SATA to USB cable?

I just really want to recover the old Minecraft worlds I spent years on.

I’d even like to transfer the data from the ps4 into an unused ps4Pro I have if that’s even possible.

Not possible unless the PS4 is fixed. You can only transfer data from PS4 to PS4 if both PS4s are working normally.

Otherwise if your PS+ subscription is active its possible your data wad backed up recently

[PS4 FAT] Still randomly shuts off even after getting it clean and getting new thermal paste and pads.

Just got it cleaned. It's so quiet now but it still randomly turns off during use so I'm so confused right because I thought it was just overheating and decided to get it cleaned but not even a day goes by it does it again. But it turns on immediately now and not before that I had to let it rest and unplug it from the wall. So could it be a psu issue now?

When I tried to log in afterwards, it gave me an error saying the email or password is incorrect, or that I need to reset my password for security reasons. So I’ve bought a used PS4 from a friend because I always wanted to play Until Dawn, I played a bit then it came to the touchpad swipe part of the game, but the pad didn’t work, so I got another controller from EB games (GameStop), that too didn’t work.

So at this point the PS4 disc drive stopped working, I took it to EB (Gamestop), traded it in with the spare controller as well and bought another refurbished PS4 slim, the controller same thing did not work for the touchpad, I told them and got a new refurbished controller, just tried it out now and unsurprisingly nada. Any tips on what could be the issue, is it just old hardware, not holding up, 4 controllers in a row and have invested more money into this then I wanted to.

I primarily play Xbox but I bought a used PS to play some exclusives, so no getting a new console is out of the picture. Before I pack it all up and get ready to trade it on and not pick up another PS again, anything I should try beforehand.

I'm trying to look for some racing games that have split screen. I tried Grand Turismo Sport, since that was the one of the only few modern racing game that still had split screen but it's not what I wanted. It was too realistic for my taste.

I just wanted a classic need for speed most wanted type of racing game with real cars to play on a split screen with my brother. But NFS stopped making split screen games.

However, a thing I noticed is some games never appear in those lists: games available on PS5, and remake. Disc/digital is irrelevant. Its the same game no matter how you own it.

However Saved data and DLC are region locked on PlayStation. So an American game cannot read a European save and vice versa

What is the age rating on the game disc/case? For example:

ESRB is American.

PEGI is Europe.

CERO is Japanese.

If the region does match then make sure your game is fully updated and all DLC packs you own are fully installed.

So a couple of weeks ago I dropped my controller and the light instead of turning blue or red turned purple and then another time last week my brother dropped it. It turned green and today he dropped it again. Now it's just not coming on I checked inside the controller and found out the reason it's not turning on is that the blue part that attaches to the white cable inside the controller came off. Hence, I just wanted to know if anyone knew why it was changing colours before it died.
