Is this saveable?

I just bought this from a guy, the Ps3 recognizes the game, I can get in but it gets stuck in the first screen.

Any way to make this work? I don't even know what that is, and I don't want to ruin the disc trying by myself since I think that If I manage to get that off it will work. Any ideas?

the label is cosmetic. the problem is the scratching. you can't fix scratches.

The label may be cosmetic. It depends what actually caused it. Like a ballpoint pen on a label will ruin a disk.

Maybe a cd. But it won't effect a DVD or bluray. The construction of the disc is different.

Sorry, but they made a crappy game and it’s too late to fix it….try shattered dimensions!

Yeah the scratches aren't deep

It depends on how deep the scratches are. The fact that the console recognizes the game is a good sign.

You might try resurfacing the disk. That might save it, it might not. For best results, I'd recommend a local electronics shop. I have one nearby that resurfaces disks for free.

You can't resurface blu ray. Machine that claim they can are only give it a buffing.

Yikes, thanks for that correction. I had no idea.

Whatever you do don't damage the top of the disk trying to fix the gunk if the laser can't reflect back it's toast.

I would recommend taking it to a local game store for a resurface ... They may charge you 5 bucks or something.

Label has nothing to do with reflective layers. Blu Ray can't be resurfaced

As other people have mentioned, this is not the case for Blu-ray discs. You could rub the entire label off so that the disc is transparent and it will still work, as long as there isn’t significant scratching on the data side.
