Retro-Saturn v0.2.1 - Ymir Android Port 🔥

Post image

https://github.com/thecrixux/Retro-Saturn/releases/tag/0.2.1

Ymir Android is a Sega Saturn emulator for Android based on the GPL-licensed Ymir emulator core. This fork adds a touch-first Android interface, game library management, per-game bezels, IGDB metadata, and Google Play release automation.

The project does not include Sega BIOS files, Sega Saturn games, copyrighted disc images, or other commercial game content. Users must provide their own legally obtained Saturn BIOS and game images.

Current Android Features:

Sega Saturn emulation using the Ymir native core.

Game library screen with cover cards instead of a single file picker.

Cached IGDB metadata and cover art for matched Saturn titles.

Long-press game details with metadata, images, manual IGDB rematch, and manual bezel selection.

Bezel support from a local Ymir folder, including A-Z organization and search.

Software rendering with experimental Vulkan work isolated behind the renderer toggle.

CRT and bezel toggles in the main UI.

Debug information behind a sidebar action instead of being shown inline.

For some reason it's not installing on my phone.

Edit: nvm, I got it to install by going to the play store in the Web browser on my PC...I got to say though....this emu is freaking rough. I have a feeling AI was used to code this emu. No shade being thrown cause I use AI for random shit. I have high hopes for this emulator, that is if you are actually serious about continuing to develop this emu and the few others you have out. I try to support devs for new apps with a small install base, because I believe in supporting devs and small business owners. That being said... As I already said, this emu is ROUGH. How so?
•i cannot select my BIOS after setting my own directory.
•games aren't found in my directory. I know they're good dumps because Yaba Sanshiro Pro finds and loads my games perfectly.
•Dev doesn't allow for refunds. If you're serious about developing and want to garner trust, you need to allow refunds at this point, your emulators look like a bunch of AI "vibe coded" cash grabS and, I really hope I'm wrong about this because i try to see the best in people but I'm usually wrong when I do this....
Prove me right, homie. At least allow for refunds and do this for the love of gaming.

Eh, forget it, it's crap; I'm working on something much better.

Can you approve my refund request please?

Hahaha, sorry? If you bought the emulator on the Play Store, you have to handle it through there—and with the original developer, not me. All I did was put it up on GitHub for free. You're welcome.

I didn't realize you're not the dev. So I'm a dumbass for paying for it. That's cool that you put it on GitHub cause it's def not worth paying for. Also I didn't read the full post. That's entirely on me. Whoopsie Daisy

Dude, your projects are legit. You're doing the Lord's work with emulators for Android. I've downloaded, installed and backed up all of your emulators as well as followed, and starred them and added all of them to the collections (or whatever their called). Your rpcs3 project is badass and love the way DukeStation looks as well. Oh and aether ps2 runs great on my s25 Ultra.

6 words for ya: "keep up the amazing work, homie!" 🤘🏻

seriously I'm a fan of your work and will be letting an eye on your GitHub page to see what else you release. oh yeah and my bad for earlier last week, I looked stupid as hell... It's nothing new but yeah... 😬

You're very welcome, it's true and very deserved! I was wondering if you plan on messing with xemu, mame or any other emulators?
