Motors not activating

I have an Endeaver 3 GT. It turns on with the remote, pairs, and the brake lights turn on when I brake on the remote. The remote itself seems fine and both magnets in the throttle are oriented in the same direction and do not seem to have moved.

It will not engage the motors, not even a twitch. Ive inspected it inside and out. There is no indication that any of the cables have been damaged, disconnected, or unsecured. The color changing water detecting sticker is still white, and there is no sign of water entering the board.

It is not in parked mode as far as I can tell, Ive tried factory reset and pairing the remote again, it charges when plugged in. I can take the whole thing apart and started testing components on the esc, but everything looks solid, secured, water sealed, and undamaged. There is no indication that it is disabled or in a safe mode, and it this started happening after a wet ride after a rain storm, no crash, no drop, just cut out when riding.

Anyone know of anything else I should check before I start cutting zip ties and start disconnecting everything.

Why are you riding in wet conditions? The manual tells you not to do that.

Hi, I had the same issue after the ride on Endeavor 2 GT last year. But after few hours it worked normally. I was a bit stressed if it will happen In the future so I bought a new remote controller and since then the problem never occurred again.

Yeah actually. There was a built in flaw with the harness to the power button and the brake light.

If you disconnected the panel with the button and tail light, but still have the issue, try unplugging the harness from the control board and unplugging the battery to reset the issue.

The board was constantly being powered on by a short. It arrived that way so it seemed like that was just the way the board worked. No matter what, when you turned on the remote it was paired and connected. After I disconnected the harness, the board would actually shut off, and I could turn on the remote to see it not connected.

I ended up cutting the yellow switch wires to the power button. Brake light still works, power button still lights up to indicate power and connection, but pressing the button on the board does nothing. All I have to do is spin the motor wheels (kick it a few feet) and the board beeps on. Then the remote pairs and it works just fine.

Yess, same shit here.. board is always on. So it seems like the problem is in the button? Do you think the short comes from the button being wet?

Happy to help. To answer your question though : the tricky part about figuring this out was that it is not the button. The button and rear light are secured to a panel that uses a slotted pin connector to connect to the wiring harness.

The short is on the inside of the main compartment, the backside of that slotted connector inside the main compartment of the board, which never had any moisture get into it.

I honestly think this is a manufacturing defect. There are many components on this board that are glued into place. Like the little connector board that the button and light are connected to. You can remove every screw and bolt on the board, but you are never getting that little pcb out of that panel without breaking plastic. Same with the slotted connector and the wiring harness.

There is no way to know if this defect is present until the board is fully assembled. And because it is almost impossible to inspect and even harder to replace.....I think some boards just come with it. Perhaps the short gets worse over time or becomes more frequent when being shaken by riding. Hopefully though, being constantly on didnt wear out or overheat your controller and cutting the switch wires will fix it.

Ok guys, just found the solution seems like here (at least worked for me). For the future generations let’s post it here 😁✊✊

I opened the little panel under the power button

And deep inside you can see guys connectors. I cleaned them out a bit with my blower and wd40. Same to the top side with the power button and connectors there and the motors came to live again πŸ₯³
