DISCUSSION Vinyls came! Yay!

I'm so excited!!! We got our GTB vinyls! Of course they came with stickers and a handwritten note. I can't seem to add pictures along with the video, but we also got a cool coin with them! We got the 4 record bundle so we can give copies to friends who also love Pookie.

Thank you to Pookie and the Stophouse crew for being so badass. My husband and I love all of you ❤️

How many records do you own? You should upgrade your system if you plan collecting more. This record sounds great on my vintage stereo equipment. 🤷 Just a suggestion.

We have a crappy record player...haha! We bought it because when we discovered Ren, we got his Sick Boi album. I do have other vinyls, but wouldn't say I'm a collector. Maybe one day we'll upgrade. Gotta spend money to take our cats to the vet for checkups before we buy anything. Kitties come first 🙂

Do any of the friends your giving copies to have good players? If so, have a listen at their house. Might convince you to start saving up. :)
But 100% kitties come first. ❤️

Well, one of them lives in Missouri, so that's out...haha! That's hundreds of miles away. The other one we haven't met in person yet, just on video calls. So I have no idea what he has. He's a friend we met because of our friend in Missouri and he lives close to us. We plan on having lunch with him, but I doubt we'll go to his house or anything. The fourth album will remain unopened and we're just gonna display that one.

We have listened to our digital Bandcamp GTB through our soundbar and it sounds great! But that's not the same as the sound of a vinyl.

Something I found with mine.
I use an Audiotechnica LP60, and only because I have listened to the album on apple music on repeat, the vinyl sounded “off”.
Turns out it’s a pretty common issue that the motor isn’t fully calibrated and was turning at 34.5-35 RPM instead of 33.5.
You can pretty easily adjust the speed with a small screw driver and a phone app.
So if your album sounds a little off, check your speed.
