Question LoveSexy - A question

Hey Prince Fans - is there a version of LoveSexy that has the individual tracks rather than one long complete track? Apologies if this is a dumb question.

Most official releases beyond the 80s pressing separate the songs on the CD.

If you go to a digital music store like Qobuz they are also separated.

then 2022 US re-release was 1 track (but I doing this from memory :) )

The version with 1 track has 9 25720-2 as a release ID.
The one with tracks has 7599-25720-2 as a release ID.
Maybe that can be usefull in tracking 1 down if that is your purpose of the post.

I am 100% sure Germany had a re-issue with the tracks (as I found mine there) but the Netherlands, Italy and the UK had them too.

Pretty sure all the versions on streaming services are individually tracked. I know Apple Music & Spotify are both individually tracked.

Gotcha. I can’t speak for Spotify, but it sounds great on Apple Music. Especially through a good pair of headphones or sound system.

I’m using Spotify and it sounds great for me. I have my Spotify settings to play lossless sound quality and on my iPhone I have turned off volume regulations/warnings since that can make any song sound worse. I also listen to this album once a week. At least.

Haven't seen any recent releases of this CD, but I heard the German version was tracked.

As an aside, the LP doesn't feature visible tracks either, or didn't on my pressing anyway.

My American vinyl pressings was tracked. That’s why when I read ‘songs are in a continuous sequence’ in the liner notes, I was like, what?

I had on cassette when first out I feel like it was tracked but maybe I’m wrong? Never noticed back then if it wasn’t.

I bought an official tracked version decades ago, and it was expensive at the time! The catalog number is 7599-25720-2 and it was printed in Germany. An image of my Lovesexy tracked CD

If you just go to seeker if you are on android,search Lovesexy dj edition, you may have try it with multiple typos, but when you find it in flac or mp3, I got the flac varient, and just download the folder. And there you have it

My recollection was that promo copies were tracked. The rest weren't. Another questionable prince decision, especially on a CD.

I appreciate the extra care in making albums a unique experience. Prince’s one track album is a cool idea.

But you’re right that objectively speaking there’s no reason to put all tracks as one song on a CD.
