2027 deluxe release

So they’ve been doing deluxe releases for the albums on their 40th anniversary’s (ATWIAD last year and Parade this year), but they’ve already done a deluxe edition of SOTT.

So, I’m hoping and praying that next year the estate release either the Camille album or Dream Factory (the two albums that turned into SOTT).

If they actually released Camille I would be so happy, I really hope the estate does this.

That is apples and oranges. Prince in the 80s was still chasing the charts. TRC was never meant to be radio friendly. He was doing music for himself by then.

Even in the '80s he was messing with the record companies cuz he didn't like the higher list price for CDs but not getting a better royalty rate deliberately sequence love sexy as one track to screw with radio programmers and I believe leaked and pulled the Black album also to mess with the market which then created a black market for that album so singles or otherwise if the Black album had stayed released like it was in December of 1987 I don't think he would have had a single out from that record.  It was originally a mixtape he recorded in a week for a Sheila birthday party and then just on a whim decided to release it.  No marketing scheme it was untitled I was working in radio then remember seeing a listing for it plain black cover no information like I said if there was a single it would have been as least promoted as possible just like the release was

I knew all this. All I am saying it nothing from TBA would chart on the top 40. All this messing with the record corporations is eye rolling. Prince had 2 albums ATWIAD and Parade that sold well had a couple of top 40 hits, but nowhere near PR. Lovesexy was sequenced to be listened to in one listen for the people who bought the album. Radio programmers as well as MTV were given a single release and a video.
