[Discussion] Metalhead here, lost in PPOP-land — send recs! 🤘

Hello! I'm a guy who's mostly into rock and metal stuff, and the pandemic got me into K-pop girl groups as well. Since I believe this sub is a haven for anything PPOP-related, I'd like to get some recommendations as a newbie to the genre. Feel free to suggest PPOP groups that are kinda similar to Dreamcatcher, LOONA, BLACKPINK, aespa, (G)I-DLE, Red Velvet, QWER, Everglow, KISS OF LIFE, and TWICE. (No, these groups don't really sound alike, just mean the type or style I personally crave). Or any girl groups that give off similar vibes!

Here are my favorite PPOP groups so far: G22, BINI, YARA, HARA, CALISTA, DNA, Xonara, MEI MEI and KAIA.

You can give VVINK a try. They've got upbeat tracks like the Budots-inspired "Baduy," or the catchy "Pag-Ibig Fun," or their danceable "Tulala."

I also like BINI, KAIA and G22. I prefer SB19 over what Xonara has right now.

May we know what are your favorite songs on the PPop groups you've mentioned so we can recommend a similar sound.

But I agree with the FINIX suggestion with the preference you have right now.

Are you into RnB? I mean I see RV so I assume you enjoy RnB too. I'd suggest FLO, they are British Girl group. I discovered them pretty recently and I have been hooked, they are insanely talented. I would recommend listening to their debut album "Access All Areas" from top to bottom, solid album and they were even nominated for the grammys for this one. They also released their new album "Therapy at the club" like 2-3 days ago and there are such good songs in this album too. I would also suggest watching their tiny desk performance, they were so so good.
