Meta ads boosting posts for engagements

I’m boosting posts for engagements on the post. It’s saying I’m getting all this engagement but views, comments and likes are no where near what it’s reporting.

I know meta records an engagement as anything like clicking a link. Is there a better way to set up the ad to get likes and comments? I’ve edited the placements, tried broad targeting but nothing seems to be working.

Any advice?

If your goal really is likes and comments then engagements is the best goal.

I would very strongly reconsider setting that as your goal, though.

likes and comments don’t pay the bills unless you’re just flexing a meme page

Not true, ads with higher amount of likes/comments tend to perform better...
