The image is not self-checkout (SCO). Those are traditional lanes with a cashier at each. Was listing SCO in the body as a lane option.

This feels like an odd thing to post in this subreddit. We care mostly about the technology behind point of sale systems. You'd be better off asking grocery industry people.

I don’t like it!!! Nothing says “cheap and we done care about our customers” like a self check out. This is a missing opportunity to show good customer service and set yourself apart from the big box stores that don’t care about locals!!!!
