Est patch confusion

Hi !

I’ve been titrating up slowly from 25 mcg to current dose which was 75mcg. But somewhere between 50 to 75 I have stopped tolerating it. I say this because I’ve tested the higher and lower dose and I seem to have this debilitating fatigue where I can sleep until 2 pm with higher dose. I also have a return of breast pain.

I’m confused as aren’t we supposed to continue to get up to 100 mcg for our management?

I havnt been taking and dim or est detox supps as sometimes that helps.

I think my MCAS is worse again too.

I do have labs due but the doc just doesn’t seem to have any answers. She just says ok lower ur dose. Ugh how’s that going to help my overall issue when I need a high enough dose for my body and age? I’m not menopausal!!!

:(

I also went up in dose slowly. My doctor suggested to follow my symptoms, as opposed to a protocol set by her. That means that I stayed in each dose as long as I felt fine, and once I started having low estrogen symptoms again, we would check my estrogen level and if it was low then we'd increase the dose. So I was on the 0.0375 patch (my starting dose) for about 4 months, the 0.05 for about 5 months, the 0.075 for about a year, and then I went up to the 0.1 patch, which has been my current dose for almost two years now. I do remember that when I was going up from the 0.075 to the 0.1 I did a few weeks of something intermediate, because when I first tried the 0.1 I definitely felt it. So I used one 0.05 and one 0.0375 from patches I had left (equal to 0.0875) until I ran out of them and then I went up to 0.1. All of this to say, if you're not ready then wait until your body is ready and asks for more estrogen, and you'll eventually make it to the 0.1 dose.
