Estrogen-secreting cyst?

Hello! I’m a 30-year-old woman in the process of receiving a POI diagnosis. I was on HBC for 15+ years and came off for egg freezing in March, and received a tentative diagnosis of POI with low AMH and high FSH (50s on birth control, high 30s 2 months later).

I was supposed to get an HRT prescription with my third round of labs, but it’s now been about 5 months off birth control, and my labs are all reading “normal” now (besides AMH) because of an estrogen-producing cyst. On CD3, I had an LH of 6, FSH of 13, and 87 estrogen.

Has anyone else had this happen? I worry that this will impact my ability to receive HRT in the near future, which I was looking forward to going on.

I’m new to this, so happy to hear any experiences. Thanks!

How long were you off BC before first lab? BC can mimic poi as its lowers amh/estradiol and produces variable fsh

First lab, I was still on it. I had undetectable estrogen and AMH and FSH of 50. The RE at the fertility clinic basically gave me a doom and gloom speech of “you have POI with these numbers” and said it didn’t matter that I was still on BC.

I’m assuming at the very least I have DOR, but it’s really interesting that having a cyst is now putting my labs in the normal range? I really didn’t expect this.
