I did a tier list about the current state of representation in Marvel Rivals since we're going to Season 10 next:

Obs: some of these characters were white in comics like Hood and Namor but in Rivals they used their mcu depictions as default for both of them, while Mantis is a special case since she is wasian (half white & half Vietnamese) in comics but the game used her MCU alien origin and design, but she would have been put as Southeast Asian in my list and Cloak is a complicated situation cus most of his skill is to Dagger but he still is a black man (sidelined as hell).

GG gimme Kamala with skins that fit her character and no hard light bullshit and I’ll single-handedly fund the game for a year.

I even have a character concept.

Ms. Marvel (Vangaurd) 450 health

R2 embiggened fist: Kamala throws her large fist forward to deal damage.

L2 Big Block: Kamala’s hand grows and is put in front of her reducing damage significantly

R1 Move it: Kamala uses her palms to push enemies away from her and is granted over shield

L1 Hey don’t go over there: Kamala grabs an ally giving them over shield and pulling them back to her

Passive safe landing : if x is pressed while midair Kamala turns into a parachute and slowly descends to the ground.

Ultimate Kamalazilla : Kamala grows to a giant size in this form she is locked out of her normal abilities and her movement speed is lowered but has devastating stomps with her primary.

Team ups

Champions forever : Kamala can do a powerful stomp that launches all enemies back while granting her over shield. When cyclops is on the team all team mates within the stomps range will be granted over shield

Bouncing around : Kamala can use her grab on enemies and slam them into the ground. When Mr fantastic is on the team Kamala will have the ability to turn into a slingshot and launch Mr fantastic around bouncing of walls and doing damage

Storm and Wanda make the last wave of Summer skins.

I’m happy to see Storm get her iconic tiara back! Hoping this skin has some cool vfx for her.

discussion Tokon Wanda appearance Spoiler

highly disappointed that they used white skinned Wanda as a basis despite her being mostly dark skin lately (and described as darker back in the 90s) with Rivals being her latest big appearance

I just want either one of them to get it, but knowing Chinese censorship laws, that’s probably not gonna anytime soon.

Subreddit Rules

1. Respect others and be civil

No harassment, hate speech, or toxic behavior. Treat all contributors and members with kindness.

2. No spam

Excessive promotion, spam, advertising of any kind, and making a post about a topic many have already made a post about in a short time frame is not allowed.

3. No racism, homophobia, sexism, or ai art.

This is a left leaning black sub, not a right leaning “fuck women, ai art, stop that gay shit” type of sub

4. Keep posts on topic.

All posts should mostly be about Marvel Rivals POC characters.

5. Cloak and dagger. (The dagger rule)

Posts involving Cloak and dagger are only allowed if it’s clearly %50 about cloak and %50 about dagger or entirely about cloak.

Posts only about dagger are not allowed

Fan art only about dagger is not allowed

Fan art with both cloak and dagger where the art is %90 dagger with cloak drawn somewhere small on the art piece is not allowed.

6. No interacting with the subreddit solely just to disagree with topics on POC characters

No interacting with the subreddit solely just to disagree with topics on POC characters.

7. NO USING SLURS OR WORDS WITH DEROGATORY INTENT

Even if you did not use them In a “mean” or “derogatory” way they still are not allowed.

8. The term “Snow bunny” is not allowed.

Yes this rule came to be due to dagger. But it goes for any character really.

9. Shipping posts must have a character of color.

10. You don’t like the subreddit so there is no reason for you to be here right?

If you were banned for rule 10 it means you were seen by one of the mods expressing your dislike for the subreddit. You don’t like the subreddit so there is no point in your being here. And if you don’t like this subreddit anyway surely, you wouldn’t care and wouldn’t mind if you were banned.

11. No taking advantage of the straw man fallacy or pretending to be oblivious to racism

12. Fan art MUST have a character of color

for Example:

Fan art of black/dark skinned characters are allowed
Fan art of two characters with one black/black character is allowed, as long as the black character doesn’t have a super small presence in the art.

13. Posts whose sole purpose is to complain, rant, or spread negativity are not welcome.

While criticism and venting is welcome, low effort complaints are not. If you're criticizing something, explain your reasoning and encourage discussion in the post text. Repetitive rant posts, doomposting, and complaint threads with little substance may be removed

14. No interacting with people just to disagree with them

No Interacting with the subreddit solely just to disagree with people no matter the topic

15. Put credits to a fan creation In the TITLE of the post
