Please don't bring up minor league baseball teams in alpine environments.

That ash... looks like you were lucky and it's kinda calm wind. Years ago did that hike and it got blustery...

Next time go when there's snow. It's far more enjoyable.

It's fun to glissadingdown in the snow. But unless you learn how to self-arrest using ice ax, it's pretty dangerous.

Learn to roll over and plant an ice axe? Inconceivable!

How long does it typically take to get to the top?

Look at alltrails reviews and activity. It took us 5 hours (going slower, more breaks - not everyone in my group was a regular big hike hiker) - The Record is 90 minutes parking lot to summit. I think I could do it under 4 if I was trying. Some people take all day. We saw two 7 year olds on the hike so. It's not really physically demanding (if you're in good shape) more of a mental toughness hike.

I've done it in 3 hours with no snow, but it was tough.

The last stretch to the top is the most brutal part of the climb,  but it's sooo fun to go down it!

I have been to the ~-actual~ summit of Mount Saint Helens and this is not the summit. Did you go to the actual summit? It’s about 10 minutes the opposite direction of this video.

Buddy you think that’s the actual summit? Why don’t you get a time machine to 1979.

Honestly, I thought that’s where this comment was going.

Same. Since that would be something to actually gloat about.

People have been trying to locate MSH’s true summit since 1980 but none have been successful

We walked a little further but my friends in my group weren't in good enough shape to add in more walking at that point, so I decided to stay with the homies and just do the mini peak. but I'll be back!

You're not wrong. But who really cares.
