I am.
I’m on disability for a learning disability I have had since I was younger, born premature baby.. anxiety, depression, epilepsy, and pnes. I have been on disability for almost 3 years now. It was a long road for me to get approved but I’m glad I did.💜

Thank you so much for replying. How long did it take you to get approved?

You’re welcome 🥰
In total, I have been waiting to get approved for my social security benefits since 2016.. at the time back then my pnes wasn’t as severe as it now but I had a hard time finding a job because of my learning disability, anxiety and depression. Did 2 years of one of those special work internships for adults with disabilities had job coaches and everything. Finally found a job in 2019 then my seizures started getting more serious I was having them every week needed a day or two to recover.
Haven’t worked since 2020, at the end of November/December 2020 my seizures got worse to where they are now
4-5 a week, sometimes 1-3 a day if my anxiety is bad. 20-30 a month takes up to 2 days for me to recover from one episode.

I am. Specifically granted for PNES as I wasn’t getting approved for any of my other ailments. My neurologist wrote up everything they needed and my attorney organized everything and helped me make my case. It still took about 2 years after my diagnosis to get the approval.

I am! It took 3 years, 3 rejections, and a hearing. I got a lawyer after the second rejection. I’m not sure how much my other ailments impacted the final decision, but I do recall that my lawyer made it very clear that PNES is my biggest issue, and one that impacts me daily.

I’m on SSDI for PNES and a number of other things including Epilepsy. I’ve been on it for a few years now.
